Description
Wow...I guess they don't let me space things apart? This description itself seems so intimidating. Oh well, here it is ~ This is an addon pack meant to not be too light, or too heavy on memory usage (it's certainly not the lightest, but I can assure you it used to be heavier. I've kept it as light as I can while still remaining a vastly game-improving group of mods). It gives an abundance of information and functionality, along with an attractive and highly customizable appearance. It seems intimidating at first, with a bit of setup required, but will be worth it when done. An extensive list of things included (along with the addons mentioned at the bottom) are: ~~ Bags: sorted and combined into one window. Tbag for the win. ~~ Meters: Lighter on your cpu than recount, Skada shows what you want to see. Can also be used for threat instead of Omen. ~~ CowTip: I would recommend finding the addon "Informant" to work with this. Not sure if it is required or not. This will show the Guild Rank of others, along with a lot of other info. You can also customize the tooltips to show in combat or not, along with location of tooltips and appearance. ~~ Deadly Boss Mods: you should already know what this is. If you don't, it basically helps you not fail in instances and raids by telling you when and how to not fail. Be warned that you still have to move out of the fire yourself. ~~ Auctioneer: another standard addon. Makes the auction house much easier to use. Can potentially replace with AuctionLite for less CPU usage, but I don't find that trade off worth it personally. ~~ Actionbar mods: Highly and easily customizable. What more do you want? ~~ Atlasloot: standard. Look at epicz. ~~ Talent mods: makes comparing talent trees much easier. ~~ Friendsfu/guildfu: see who's online just by mousing over the fu button. ~~ Elkano's buffbars: customizable, doesn't require much though. I scale it down and make it partially see-through. Shows your buffs in an easy to read and check at a glance manner. ~~ Xperl unitframes: some people seem to prefer Vuhdo or Healbot, but I like this one. It's a personal preference. Just don't use the standard unitframes, for your own sake. ~~ Addon Control Panel: don't log out and in to fix your addons! You can use this to turn off and on the addons you like and don't like, or the ones that are hogging your memory as you try to raid. ~~ Automation: there are no short-cuts in WoW. (Obviously you're here for shortcuts. This mod is all about little shortcuts). ~~ Chatter: best chat mod there is. Simple. ~~ Xloot mods: looting made pretty. ~~ Gearscore: it's not the most important thing at the world, but before you tell that healer he sucks, notice his 2-3k range gearscore. Yeah, you dinged yourself to 80 once too. Blizzard did not hand you free epicz. At least not literally. ~~ Rankwatch: people use downranked spells more than you'd think. I promise. This'll help everyone out. ~~ Titan panel: information, information... ~~ Sunn: this moves the bottom of your screen up, so you aren't having your view blocked by your action bars, fubuttons, and meters. It has a customizable look, with downloadable skins as well. ~~ ~~ ~~ Definitely worth mentioning are the addons RedRange at WoWInterface and Carbonite at Carboniteaddon.com. You want these. If you have bugs, find Swatter. It's probably at WoWInterface also. In order to get the look I've displayed in my screens, you'll need to move the minimap into the Carbonite map. It takes adjusting, but you want that map. Trust me. ~~ ~~ ~~ Note: it's unfortunate I could only put up five screenshots of so many mods, but I'll list the highlight mods of these screens in order from start to finish: ~~ 1 - standard interface, with nothing highlighted. ~~ 2 - Tbag. ~~ 3 - Carbonite's maximized map. ~~ 4 - the addon control panel. ~~ 5 - Cowtip. I've spent a good deal of time putting all of this together, so I hope someone benefits or enjoys this. ~~ ~~ ~~ Criticize at will, maybe I can improve it to the general public's liking if it just needs tweaking.
