Description
As rogues, we want a clean, simple UI. However, if you're like me, you don't like downloading those all-in-one UI mods that are a pain to understand, change everything, and hard to customize to your own liking. Really, you shouldn't have anyone else tell you what the best UI is. The best UI is whatever is the best for you. That's why I made this pack of add-ons; it allows you to completely customize your UI to the way you want it, one piece at a time. So you could make yours exactly like mine, or completely different, all using the same add-ons. The first add-ons I'll quickly go over are the "standards" that everyone has, and are pretty much mandatory for raiding. Addon Control Panel - simply lets you enable/disable addons and reload your UI without having to logout each time. Atlasloot Enhanced - see the loot that drops from any boss in any instance, so you know which bosses drop your gear. Deadly Boss Mods - Absolutely essential for raiding (and pretty helpful in 5-mans too), this awesome add-on gives you warnings, timers, range-checks, and all sorts of help during boss fights. I've also included the old content (WotLK, BC, Vanilla) mods as well just for completeness. Omen Threat Meter - Rogues are masters at controlling aggro...but we're also masters at pulling it. Omen will warn you when your threat passes a certain level (which you set); very helpful when in a random PUG with one of those druid tanks. OmniCC - A simple cooldown count, this displays countdowns on your CDs and flashes them when they're ready to use again. Recount - Make sure you're pulling that magical 10k, and see who isn't pulling their weight. Those are all the "standard" raiding add-ons, so now we move on to the rogue-specific ones. ErrorFilter - This gets rid of (most of) those annoying error messages in the middle of your screen (Not enough energy, you can't do that yet, etc.). Very helpful when spamming Mutilate/Sinister Strike. Poisoner - This neat little addon gives you a button from which you can view all your poisons without opening your bags. Right click a poison to apply it to OH, left to MH, and middle to thrown. SliceAdmiral - This addon shows bars for each of our DoTs and buffs that must be kept up for max dps. It shows bars and countdowns for SnD, Rupture, Recuperate, Envenom, Vendetta, poisons, and also shows how many combo points you have so you know when to use a finisher. Next are the UI mods. Bartender4 - This adds more action bars to your interface, and makes all of them completely customizable. You can change # of buttons, size, transparency, click-through, location, shape of the bar, and it makes keybindings so much easier. Bartender is what I am using to make that "box" of bars you see on my UI. Chatter - A nice chat add-on, this lets you resize and move the chat window to get it out of the way. Very helpful, as the chat window can be right in the way depending on your resolution. Many other neat features as well, such as showing which toon is who's alt, making the word "inv" and "invite" a link, and mouseover links. EasyMail - Simplifies getting your mail, giving you buttons to open all mail and take all attachments. MoveAnything - allows you to, well, move anything. And resize it, and hide it. I used this to clean up my UI by hiding a lot of the things never used. OneBank3 - This takes the bank frame and all 7 bank bags and puts them into one window. (Note: if you want this for your inventory bags too, I recommend OneBag3 by the same author) Titan Panel - This is a sort of "task bar" that you can put on the top or bottom of your screen. It can display your gold, xp, location, durability, loot type, and many of the add-ons in this pack plug-in to it, allowing you to put its icon on the bar instead of all those annoying minimap buttons. Plug-ins for Titan Panel: -Logout - adds a logout button to the bar. -Mail - adds a mail notification. -Microbuttons - adds a menu for accessing the micromenu; I use this because i have the menu itself disabled. -MyCurrency - displays your honor, conquest, justice, and valor points, as well as what you can purchase with them. -Recount - adds support for a Recount button on the bar. This is necessary because Recount, unlike the other add-ons, does not plug-in to Titan Panel on its own. -Reputation - this displays your current "watched" faction, standing, and %. Used because I have the reputation "XP" bar disabled. Other Add-ons NPCscan - Scans for rare mobs, and you can add NPC IDs to make it scan for whatever you want. NPCscan Overlay - adds map overlays of the patrols of raremobs. Ackis Recipe List - Scans your professions to see what recipes you're missing, and tells you how to get them. Auctionator - easier buying/selling, with automatic under-selling and search features. Collect Me - tells you which companions/mounts you don't have, and how to get them. InspectEquip - Adds a window to the Character and Inspect frames which shows actual ilvl, reforges, missing enchants, and where the gear came from. Overachiever - helps with achieves. For example, if you mouseover a critter/fish school/etc., it will add to the tooltip "Needs some /love" or "Need to kill" or "Need to fish." Also suggest which achievements you could work on depending on your area. Rare Spawn Overlay - same as the NPCscan overlay, but only for Outland and Northrend. I've found both to have been correct, so it's worth having both. This one has pictures too. RatingBuster - replaces the Blizzard item-comparison tooltip, and adds stat breakdowns. Reforgenator - suggests optimal reforges for your spec based on current gear. Take what it says with a grain of salt, but it's helpful. SellJunk - sells your junk with one click on the vendor frame. Can be set to only sell 12 things at a time, just in case. So that's all the add-ons. They will require some customizing to get your UI to look like mine, but that's not the point. Learn to use the settings, and configure your UI how *you* want it, and how it works best for *you*. But if you want it to look like mine, and can't get it, just ask me.
