About Gadgets: Outfitter
Outfitter is an Equipment Set management addon that can treat your Wardrobe slots as secondary storage. The 'Button Bars' that you create are extremely configurable and will expand and collapse, or open the configuration window, with a simple click of the mouse. Once expanded each button bar will display the buttons for the sets you have created, allowing you to change gear, role & Karuul Alert settings with a click.
TUTORIAL: Video Tutorial available now in HD
Features:
- Place 1 or more button bars on screen using Gadgets interface to easily move & configure each
- Configure Equipment Sets that are exclusive to each button bar, allowing quick changes between specs, gear & Karuul Alerts.
- Equipment can be stored and retrieved from Wardrobe or Bags
- Equipment found in Wardrobe will be traded out when called for, resulting in your Wardrobe slots acting like enhanced storage
NEW WITH 1.8.31.1:
- ButtonBar Anchors highlight blue when you are in that anchor's configuration window
- ButtonBar Anchors now show the last EquipmentSet clicked, with an orange border (note: it doesn't know if you've reloaded UI or logged out since you last used it).
Notes / Disclaimers:
- This addon requires Gadgets to be installed & the core Gadgets addon to be enabled. You do not nbeed to use the rest of Gadgets.
- Switching gear between wardrobe slots & worn requires up to 8 empty bag slots. You've been warned.
- Movement of gear outside of this addon while it is changing sets can cause it to stall / stop / fail to equip completely.
- This is a BETA addon and may generate LUA errors / performance alerts
I have made extensive efforts to prevent/reduce errors and performance alerts but this is new, I'm not perfect AND I taught myself LUA and the Rift API as I wrote this. So you've been warned. If you experience problems PLEASE email me directly at wykkyd.gaming@gmail.com. Comments placed here may or may not be noticed quickly enough, although posting here does allow the rest of the community to see errors they might also experience and my response to them.
Button Bar Instructions:
- Use the Gadgets interface to Add Gadget to your screen.
- Add an Outfitter: Set Button to your screen and place it anywhere you like.
- Right click that button to bring up the Equipment Manager window.
- Left click the button to expand the button bar, exposing any created buttons.
- Click on any exposed button to change spec, Karuul Alerts and gear.
Equipment Manager Instructions:
- The X at the top right of the window does actually close the window ;)
- The X touching each inventory slot will set that slot as ignored by the set (when equipping that set). Click again to un-ignore.
- Use the drop down list to select a set, or simply start configuring to add a new one.
- Drag & drop any gear you want for the set into the window (2nd ring & offhand weapon should probably be dragged onto that specific slot)
- Specify whether or not to change roles, and whether or not to switch Karuul sets
- YOU WILL HAVE TO RELOADUI to see changes in your button bar
TIP!!! You can scroll your mouse wheel on top of image selectors to smooth the icon/button selection process.
Known Issues:
- NA
Upcomming Features:
- Reloadui prompting
- New "Middle Click" function off of button bar anchor that will spawn a mass item replacement window. This would allow you to replace a piece of gear with its upgrade across all sets with a few simple clicks.

- Changed the "ignore slot" image to a lock, instead of a big red X

When I download the 2.11.18.1 zip it says 2.11.03.1 in the .toc file. Is the zip bad?
The zip is fine, that line of the TOC file was just not edited.
I am no longer playing the game or keeping my addons up to date, though. So... you'll just have to deal with it ;)
Anyone is free to take this addon over and maintain it, etc.
Can you please add the tactician symbol?
I might be totaly missing it.. but is there a "cape" slot for this addon?
if not that would be totaly awesome!! i swich alot between tanking and not so have two separate capes.
and if i just missed it can you help me to locate the slot ?
thank you very much and this is even without that an awesome addon
I can't get the box to drop down for gear / soul changes... Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've added 5 load outs on it but left click doesn't seem to effect it.
Make sure you check the box "Make button" when you edit/create each set.
Sweet! Thx for the quick responce. It's working like a dream now. Glad it was only a minor thing.
great addon,
i only have 2 things, for some reason it does not switch gear to my wardrobe but always put them in my bags, what am i doing wrong or how do i set it so that gear goes to my wardrobe when switching?
second, when switching from 1 handed weapon to 2 handed weapons or the other way around the weapons always get put into my first bag , is it possible to let the addon put it in my last bag on switch?
otherwise everithing working perfect to my liking :)
greeting Hecateria
I installed Gadgets and Gadgets:Outfitter for the first time today. I have no addons installed except Gadgets (0.3.90), the Wykkyd Library (1.10.28.1), and Gadgets:Outfitter (1.10.28.1).
When I first logged into my character, I received this message:
Error: Event Event.Unit.Available is deprecated, the addon environment is not in compatibility mode, and libWykkyd has an active hook (named libWykkyd Initialize). In libWykkyd / libWykkyd Initialize, event Event.Unit.Available
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'error'
I turned on Compatibility Mode and this message did not recur. However, when I attempted to create an Outfitter gadget, I have not been able to get past this error:
Error: Gadgets_Outfitter/Outfitter.lua:420: attempt to index a nil valueIn wtLibGadget / wtLibGadget.WTGadgetBtnOK:LeftPress
stack traceback:
Gadgets_Outfitter/Outfitter.lua:420: in function 'GetConfiguration'
wtLibGadget/dialogs/wtGadget_CreateDialog.lua:243: in function <wtLibGadget/dialogs/wtGadget_CreateDialog.lua:235>
The 2nd error you listed is fixed in the 1.10.29.1 version.
The 1st one is now fixed in 1.10.29.2. It's on CurseForge and just needs to be "approved" to show up here. You can grab it from the "other" addon website too ;)
Thanks. Version was the issue. Used the Curse client which told me the version I had was the latest. Great addon.
Can't add the gadget to a fresh character. I'm getting a script error:
Error: Gadgets_Outfitter/Outfitter.lua:420: attempt to index a nil value In wtLibGadget / wtLibGadget.WTGadgetBtnOK:LeftPress stack traceback: Gadgets_Outfitter/Outfitter.lua:420: in function 'GetConfiguration' wtLibGadget/dialogs/wtGadget_CreateDialog.lua:243: in function <wtLibGadget/dialogs/wtGadget_CreateDialog.lua:235>
This is the only reason I have the whole gadgets framework and karuulalert installed. Has it been abandoned? I just got the 1.10.28.1 update.
Not abandoned. There was an update yesterday, how is that "abandoned"? I didn't run across this error in my testing before I posted the update, but I'll try to recreate this now and fix it.
The version number includes the date, sorry. 1.10.29.1.. the 10.29 is the month.day of the update.
Thanks for the prompt reply. I didn't know the date on the last update (it doesn't show in the Rift addon UI). No offense was intended!
