Description and Features

This Addon includes fully tested support for all Rift instanced raiding content, including full and partial support for: Grim Awakening, Endless Eclipse, Frozen Tempest, Triumph of the Dragon Queen, All base level 50 Raids and Slivers, and Expert and Master Dungeons. Various new and existing features are being included on a regular basis including; Mechanic Timers, Custom Mechanic Monitors (e.g. Rune King Molinar and Kolmasveli), Encounter Timers, Tank Swap monitors, Adjustable boss casting bars, Boss cast bar ability filtering, Enrage Timers and many more.

  • Note: All Encounters have full to partial support for English, German, French and Russian translations unless explicitly stated.

Tank-Swap Monitor (T-SM)

  • Automatically tracks all tanks simultaneously and displays debuff stack and duration information.
  • Full tracking of tank stack and debuff duration by any raid member.
  • Displays each tanks HP bar, updates real-time.
  • Tracks and displays all tanks death states.

Advanced Encounter Tracking

Each supported boss encounter includes the following:

  • Encounter timer display in MM:SS format.
  • Enrage timer display in MM:SS format. (where applicable)
  • Phase tracking display. (where applicable)
  • Objective tracking display. (where applicable)
  • Ready Check support with overview.
  • Rez Master, combat res monitor.
  • Main boss always visible castbar tracking. (skill filters where supported)
  • Selection of optional mechanic or skill timers and screen alerts.
  • Dynamic timers which can change duration during an encounter.
  • Advanced dynamic linked interrupt engine. Links cast interrupts and alert triggers.
  • Customize the size of all Timers, Alerts, Castbars and Phase Tracking.
  • Customize individual colors of Timers, Alerts and Cast filters.
  • English, German, Russian, Korean, Taiwanese, Chinese and French client support.


/kbmoff Turns off the Addon's triggering methods.
/kbmon Turns on the Addon's triggering methods.
/kbmdefault List available keywords to reset specific items to default.
/kbmoptions Toggle the GUI Options screen on/off).
/kbmhelp Display these commands in-game).
/kbmversion Displays the current version in chat.
/kbmreset Try this before using /reloadui, or if the encounter has ended in success didn't announce a victory.

/ReloadUI Use this in-case of any errors during the encounter. It'll reset it and the monitor "should" continue from where it left off.

    If you could just add the Timer for Issakal's "Dart board like" phase in DH I would love to re-install your addon. Also do you have any plans to implement something to show raid members soul health/planar charges/ etc like Wires has? Its not really important but it is a handy feature that I enjoy. I know that what your doing isn't easy I just can see alot of potential in this add-on to make it a full on essential raid tool, If i knew how to code I would help you out but i dont :( ...Good job on what you have done so far I think Wires might have a little edge on the features it has for now but your addon looks nicer on the screen and you are going in the rite direction with it.

    No idea how you can say you think Wire's has the edge etc as there is no comparrison between Wires and KBM.

    KBM is in a league of its own. If I had to find fault with it then it would be that the author has added regular and expert dungeons to it as quite frankly you can do all of these dungeons with your eyes shut :)

    Ok, the latest alpha version should have the fix for Glacial Wave on Isskal. Was a "special" character in the Notify trigger which was causing false positives.

    The "Dart board like" (Glacial Wave) phase timer should already be active again in v0.9.7 (released a couple of days back). There have been timers there since it's inclusion, but until a recent fix by Trion, testing of such wasn't possible as KBM's timers are triggered by in game mechanics and rarely do I resort to flat out timers.

    As for the addition of extra little monitors, keep an eye on the plug-in's which are slowly being developed alongside KBM. You may also not know that KBM's alert system is far more advanced than Wires and is dynamically linked with the mechanic associated with it meaning any patch changes will automatically adjust the alert (such as alerts matching and displaying buff/debuff durations and stopping once those are removed). The alerts also respond to interrupts and stop as soon as an interrupt is successful on the corresponding skill.

    The latest version has the base system set-up for Expert and Master mode dungeons also (going from your previous post).

    And finally thanks for the kind words, it's taking a while to get where I want with this huge Addon but development is steady and previous issues have been ironed out.

    Just a note: KBM is now the number one raiding tool (according to Curses updated download statistics, just hit 9,160 monthly downloads). So I'm pleased with the progress and direction of it so far. Not sure when this happened since Curses download figures have been updating incorrectly recently (some still are reporting wrong/not updating), but I would imagine it has been related to the stability of recent releases.

    Since wires has not been updated for a long time I can see your addon being the best choice as soon as some features are added. Your addon is going great and you are doing an awesome job keep up the good work!

    I Love your addon but recently had to switch to Wires raid killer Only because of your addon missing a few key encounter Timers. Specifically the ony I am mainly talking about is the "dart board" (as we like to call it) Phase on the 3 boss of DH. Being a melee interupter I need to know exactly how long I could stay in to catch the interupt rite before his Dart board phase. (Unless I somehow had that timer disabled and didn't realize it)

    I like the Layout and clean stlye of your addon alot more then Wires but I am forced to use Wires until I know all of the encounters timers are supported. I even noticed in Wires some T2 timers and warnings which I thought was pretty helpfull, even tho I didnt exactly need the t2 ones they were a nice bonus.

    Also On murdantix it was nice to see my stacks and the other tanks stacks with WRK to have an idea of when to switch agro before he called it. Im not sure if your addon supports this but When I used it as a tank I didn't see anything that did this unless I missed it. (Tank swap maybe? but I didnt see tank swap when I was one of the tanks).

    If you could add more of the timers and alerts for bosses into your addon I would switch back over to King boss mods for sure, your layout is much easier on the eyes.

    The 3rd boss in DH is still being worked on. I'd stopped development on it for Rift 1.7, since all the boss alerts for DH were not being recognized by the API (this has been fixed)

    If you haven't looked at the latest alpha for KBM (0.9.7 alphas) you should check it out. You'll see over the next few releases that all Expert dungeons are currently being added (without timers or alerts for the time being). But, I'll be asking the community to help out with anything they feel is missing in Dungeons once all template encounters are in and working correctly. So far Charmer's Caldera and Abyssal Precipice are in for testing.

    Please note that KBM has always been focused on 20 man content (with the exception of RotP), but I'm working on supporting older content. GSB and RoS are finished, and I believe DH 3rd boss (Isskal) is the only one without total support.

    Edit: Tank-Swap will show you all tank stacks and durations. Just ensure it's enabled in the global options and place it somewhere you'll notice it (via its anchor). Tank-Swap will only ever appear on encounters that have a tank-swap mechanic (this includes Murdantix).

    this addon is like a part of rift.... without it its not the same game!! its like taking away the LFG.... it whuld suck!!

    0.9.4 Development News

    First I'd like to thank Toz for supplying the first batch of Russian translations. These will be making their appearance, and should be expanded on from this point forward.

    I intend on expanding cast bars to work with multiple units of the same name. So this will require some engine changes for them. It will allow plug-ins to use the engine entirely, and allow for "adds" and "trash" to start utilizing KBM's core alert and timer engine.

    Finally, I'm hoping to unlock the records tab. Sorry it's taken so long, but it keeps getting pushed down the priority list.

    Our guild uses KBM for all of our raids. We have tried both KBM and another product and simply put, KBM is in a league of its own. Everything about this great add-on is excellent and to not use it is a big mistake!
