About nkRebuff

What nkRebuff does is very simple: It tracks important buffs, cooldowns and debuffs and tells you what you are missing. So in difference to a buff bar addon which shows you how long a buff is still active, this addon will tell you exactly when to renew an important buff on you or debuff your target or when an important ability is ready again.

In the configuration you can tailor the list of things to be watched exactly to your needs. You can even change the default behaviour and show things as long as they are active.

nkRebuff has been heavily tuned to deliver the best performance possible. In almost every situation it will not even show up in the ingame addon performance tab. If you care about performance then nkRebuff is definitely the best choice to monitor buffs, debuffs and cooldowns.

There is a extensive ingame documentation of the addon available. Simply click on the option 'manual' in the nkRebuff menu you can access through the nkButton at the minimap.

You can find videos on how to set it up on youtube:

I was wondering if it's possible for the Buff and debuff bars to not share the same orientation.  By this I mean at the moment all bars will either vertical or horizontal.  What I was looking for would be, let's say, buffs are vertical where-as debuffs horiztonal.

    Hello Naifu !

First congratulation and thank you for this add-on. I use it a lot and it helps me considerably !

I would have one request suggestion (which I think may not be to difficult to implement).

Could you please add a 6th set ?

Yes we have 5 roles ... but let me explain you why

    I'm a rogue.

1st Role is PVE solo (I use set 1)

2nd is PVE Raid cac (I use set 2)

    3rd is Tank (I use set 3)

    4th is Bard (I use set 4)

5th is PVE Dist (I use set 5)

and ... I also use my 5th Role for PVP. and when I use it for PVP, the buffs to track are different. and that's why a 6th set would be great for that...

If you could do that would be great !

    Thank you in advance,

    Have a good day !

First and foremost, ty for the amazing work you've done on this addon from day one. I use it more than any of my other addons, and with every role on my Rogue :) I've had no issues with nkRebuff ever since the first release up until now :)

The problem I'm having is that it seems to be crashing the Rift client. When I first load up, there are thin verticle lines from the bottom of the buff bar to the bottom of the screen, and the text description of the buffs being watched isn't centered properly, causing the text to spill over into a second line. If I open the configuration and move the transparency slider back and forth, the lines go away.. but the text under the buffs doesn't change.

When I attempt to move the bar itself by unlocking it, I can move the bar.. but the moment I lock it back up my client crashes.

    Help? :)

    Thanks In Advance,

    NewportBox

Thanks for the update. As discussed on the official forums this has been fixed with the latest release :)

    Lag?

Does anyone else get huge lag when they enter combat in a raid while nkRebuff is turned on? It may just be because I had an outdated version at the time but I just want some opinions since I can't exactly smack a raid boss at the drop of a hat.

Are we talking about 10 or 20 player raids or Rift events? In case of normal Raids I haven't noticed any slowdowns personally. So if anybody would experience any problems, please let me know. In case of events with the new zone and everybody hanging around there you'll find that there are generally much more people taking part than you were used to in pre 1.6. It's kind of like a couple of months earlier during the introduction events of river of souls. There were slowdowns like hell simply because too many people were in one place.

On top of that with many people around there are much more events firing. The addon currently acts on each and every buff / debuff gained / stopped event there is. So if a lot of people hang around a boss' back naturally there are tons of events going on which the addon has to find out if it's releveant or not.

I got a couple of ideas to improve on that, but there'll never be a perfect situation if 100+ people try to put their blade into some kind of boss ;)

Could you do me a favor and test with another addon. Any checking for buffs would do. Me personally I have no problems and see something like 40ms even in invasions. So I really suspect it's your setup, cause noone else is complaining about lags and I definitely do not experience any.

    Cheers

Yeah, I understand having some lag when there's a ton of people doing an invasion. In that situation I'm gonna have lag no matter what addons I'm using. But as soon as I enter combat in any size of an instanced raid my ping spikes up to ~600 (from the usual 230 or so that I get in Aus). I love the addon so much but the lag is making me have to turn it off =[ (oh and just so you know it's the only addon I use so it can't be anything else. As soon as I turn it on my ping skyrockets)

ok how do i see all my buff or debuff list  there is no slider and i cannoot resize to see more of them. i also get the battle distration debuff always showing but it is not active

that why i can not find it i use a track ball that has no mouse wheel.  i will get one to set it up tho.

Just move the mouse pointer into the list and use the mouse wheel.

    hi!

Also z.B. "Brennender Manastein" auf der Waffe usw...

  • #40

  • #36
