About nkRebuff

What nkRebuff does is very simple: It tracks important buffs, cooldowns and debuffs and tells you what you are missing. So in difference to a buff bar addon which shows you how long a buff is still active, this addon will tell you exactly when to renew an important buff on you or debuff your target or when an important ability is ready again.

In the configuration you can tailor the list of things to be watched exactly to your needs. You can even change the default behaviour and show things as long as they are active.

nkRebuff has been heavily tuned to deliver the best performance possible. In almost every situation it will not even show up in the ingame addon performance tab. If you care about performance then nkRebuff is definitely the best choice to monitor buffs, debuffs and cooldowns.

There is a extensive ingame documentation of the addon available. Simply click on the option 'manual' in the nkRebuff menu you can access through the nkButton at the minimap.

You can find videos on how to set it up on youtube:

Nice addon so far! But I have some issues...

It seems like the addon does not recognize the Mage Chloromancer soul as a healing soul. Everytime I switch to my healing role, the addon sticks to the previous set although I am flagged as a healer.

    Another issue:

In my DPS role I am Pyromancer. When I cast Flame Bolt I get the buff 'Improved Flame Bolt' which increases my fire damage. But I can't track this buff. It seems like you can't track buffs which activate through talents.

Some work, other's don't. As you can imagine I can't really try to figure out every buff there might be as it would mean I would have to level up a char of each class and try each and every possible soul combination.

    Cheers

With the old nkRogue addon I could monitor my self buffs as well as any other raid buff. I am unable to monitor anyone but my own buffs. Am i doing something wrong?

I'll probably include an option to track third party buffs in a future release.

nice addon, works well, especially in PVP with all the debuffers going around. but 1 thing that is annoying is that i cant get it to change sets when i change spec. sometimes it will change to a random set. i have 5 different roles, 2 dps, 2 tank, 1 pvp. if i change from tank to dps, it will keep the tank set, or visaversa, and its sorta annoying. Yes i do have the Role Recognition thing marked, but it doesnt seem to be helping. Any advice?

The addon uses the role definition of the game itself. So it's the game deciding what role you're in. Can't do anything about that.

However I'd rather use the command line option and include that into a role change macro and disable the auto recognition.

Ranger's ability Rejuvenate is not being used by this addon and it is very important to be able to keep it up since it's a 7 seconds duration. Very useful when soloing elites.

I'd imagine that might be because the rejuvinate shows up on the Pet and not you.

The addon does not support buffs on your pets. Might include that in a future version, but don't count on it.

Only issue I have is there a way to reposition it on my screen

Damn good addon! makes my rogue tanking life much easier!!! Arigato!!!

Love this addon so much, it doesn wonders for me -- thatnks for keeping up on it.

I am having one issue, though, and that is that the buff "Swift Control" from the dominator tree (shows up after successfully controlling target with Transmorgify, etc) isn't showing up.

Would love it if you could fix it, thanks!

Sorry but there's no way I can really try to figure out each and every buff for any class and soul combination is out there. I use a auto recognition system relying on the internal data of the game. If that doesn't recognize the buff I can't really help you.

Well done!  This is exactly what I am looking for!

I just updated to 1.2.3 and the addon is broken. (I have been using it since 1.5 was released and it was called nkRogue).

When I run the config to set my buffs I get an error traceback. Text is as follows (excuse any typos):

Error: nkRebuff/config.lua:238: attempt to call upvalue 'callback' (a nil value)
    In nkRebuff / nkRebuff.cbWDuration5boxbody:LeftClick
    stack traceback:

    nkRebuff/config.lua:238: in fuction 'func'
    nkGFX/main.lua:603: in function 'callback'
    nkGFX/main.lua:256: in function 'eventElement'

    [C}: in function 'xpcall'
