About Notepad

A simple notepad addon that allows you to save text notes.

Notes are saved in account-wide profiles, and thus one character's notes can be easily viewed/modified by another character.

Currently, the only way to open Notepad is to type: /notepad
To reset the UI(not the profiles) to default, type /notepad reset
Please note that resetting notepad will revert all unsaved changes.

- Increased width and height of text area
- Darkened text area a bit
- Now, when you click anywhere on the text area, it will allow you to start editing the text. (You no longer have to click directly on the line of the text.)
- Some backend UI optimizations. (Thanks adelea.)

    Bad eyesight

First I want to say thank you for this addon. I got soo tired of having scraps of paper laying around with all kinds of recipes and mats. Is there any way to add the ability to change the font size? My text is soo small it is hard to read if I put in alot of text.

    thanks,

    Daravir

Thank you very much! I'm really glad that you've taken the time to create this addon. It's super easy to use, and has helped me organize my alts, crafts, and guild. Notepad is nearly perfect! It's only fault would be that I have to type everything myself. Now, if you managed to incorporate a telepathic input system I'd be willing to award you the full five points. hehe -- I kid! Well, maybe there's a little truth in it :P In all seriousness it would be nifty to have a more intuitive input system, like being able hotlink quests, items, spells, crafting recipes, et cetera. I have no idea if this is possible, or worth the hassle of programming it, but it is the only improvement I can think of. Kudos! And, again, thank you!!

Hi Heeelp. Thanks for your input.

Your first half-sarcastic suggestion is not possible as far as I know. If we had the tools to do so, then it would still require a full fledged library that handles auto completion of words based on a dictionary. It is extremely elaborate and memory intensive.

The second suggestion, which I like quite a bit, is not possible yet. Once the API allows us to imitiate functionality similar to dragging an item or ability into the chat window or macro window, I will definitely look into adding support for this functionality in Notepad.
