About Rift Meter

Rift Meter is a combat tracker inspired by Recount and Skada Damage Meter.

How to use

  • Set sort mode by right clicking the header bar
  • Navigate through the modes by clicking the rows (left, right and middle clicks)
  • Scroll if the items exceed the shown rows



  • Navigate through all past encounters
  • Death log. Set sort mode to Deaths and click on a player.
  • Ability breakdown
  • Detailed ability information
  • Breakdown per unit. Middle click
  • Detailed ability breakdown per unit
  • Include absorbs as damage
  • Highly customizable
  • Merging pets will affect previous combats as well as including absorbs as damage
  • Switch between enemies and friendly units
  • Report window

Slash Commands

  • /rm - Show commands
  • /rm hide - Hide windows
  • /rm show - Show windows
  • /rm default - Restore default settings
  • /rm config - Opens config window
  • /rm toggle - Toggle visibility of windows

    I see seperate dmg recorded for pig and wolf, but raptor does not. is it merged with player? or is there a way to see what dmg the raptor is doing?

    I have what are probably two stupid questions...

    1) When I'm not in combat and I'm looking at the list showing damage-done-in-individual-fights, how do I get back to the combined-damage-done-for-all-fights view?

    2) What the heck is "No Quarter Mode" and how do I utilize it once I've checked the No Quarter Mode box in the configuration window?

    1) There's no combined-damage-done-for-all-fights mode yet

    => Triples your damage. Will be removed in next version. Did it for the Lulz

    by far the best meter for rift. It looks very influenced by recount and i like that.
    I have no experience with the rift API and don't know what it's limitations are,  i would like to make some requests that would make this addon even better:

    -  hotkeys to switch between modes
    -  Multiple windows support
    -  Show absorbs, or even Merge absorbs with heals
    -  show dispels
    -  Death tracker (I think super meter already has this, very helpful , tracks the last x seconds before a player died showing damage taken  cooldowns used etc, basically shows the last few seconds of the combat log)

    Was the removal of RM Toggle intentional? It was a really nice command to have to toggle the meter on and off with a macro.

    So far it's a pretty great tool. I have found 1 bugs though and have a couple of feature requests.

    The bug is if you are fighting a mob that casts a DoT on you and you kill the mob the Meter thinks the fight is still active until the dot wears off. This causes your posted DPS to drop drastically after the mob is dead.

    There are two features I would like to see added. The first is custom colors. Trying to see white text on a bright yellow background is often difficult and I have to twist and turn the camera just right to read it,. With customizable font and background colors I can set this to something more readable.

    The second feature would be allow click-through when in transparancy mode. I am not sure if this is possible but would be a wonderful feature if I could click a mob/ that was visible due to transparancy but is still behind the window instead of having to swivel the camera to make it available to click.

    Anyway great tool so far, looking forward to the updates and new features. Keep up the good work,.

    If damage is still being logged, the fight hasn't really 'ended' right?  I thought most DPS meters went off combat log entries, since it doesn't really log when mobs die or your combat status?

    So what you are saying is IF the mob could put a 5  minute dot on me right before it died. Then my DPS would have effecively been less than 1 DPS? Just because you still have a DoT on you, doesn't mean combat is still going on. I do know that Recount did NOT have this problem.

    Hi! this mod is awesome, does exactly what it says on the tin. Best damage meter for rift in my opinion.

    Just a few suggestions though:

    1. Replace long name endings with a "..." to avoid obstruction of damage numbers.
    2. Hide the resize tabs when the lock in position option is checked.

    I've been partial to Simple Meter for a long time since I knew the dev, but ti's obvious it's an abandoned project. The UI transparency with RM is amazing, but the one only complaint I have is that the buttons at the top of the meter pop out too much  with the transparency of background turned down. It is almost counterproductive, to me. 

    Have you considered an option to disable these, make them mouse-over fade or at least detachable so I can simply move them elsewhere if they can't fade. 

    That is my only complaint, though :)
