About RiftCount DPS Meter
Welcome to the RiftCount Addon page. This addon is currently a simple DPS Meter. More features will be added very soon and I am always on the hunt for new features to add to my list to implement.
Recent Update:
Menu
One function I am not sure about adding yet as it would be relatively complicated to implement and I have seen very little requests for yet would be ability (skill/spell) information. Information such as highest hit and percent damage per skill would fit into this category. Another feature unrequested that I have considered would be peak dps, possibly splitting fights into user specified sections, either by spitting it into 4 or splitting it every 10 seconds etc, and giving the peak dps per section. These are examples of features that I am looking into adding, especially if I see users showing interest in them.

I don't know about others, but I would LOVE an addon that grouped all my bags into one frame!

I know meters count DPS and HPS. Is it possible to also add in a count for shields and/or how much they shielded for? I understand that would be associated with the tank it was cast on as opposed to the healer that cast them, but it would still be good to see the total impact for those that also use shields as part of healing.

Ok so I have a couple issues my intent is not to bash you in anyway shape or form so do not take anything personal, if you would be so kind as to reply to. Unless I am doing something wrong why won't the meter save the fact you switch it from rift to minimalist in the interface of your addon? It is rather frustrating to keep having to switch it every single time you log into the game. I also do not like the fact that unless I am missing it we can not view every attempt in the history for the nights raid when there are clearly more attempts you can look at. I also noticed that the writing gets cutoff due to the window not being wide enough when looking at the history. What I mean is it shows the raid wide dps, the length of time in the raid so forth and so on. Is there something I am missing or is this something you intend to implement/fix?
I will look into the issue with the theme not saving, it should be saving and it saves when I use the addon so Im not sure why your not seeing the same. Do other things save such as location of the UI and sorting mode? As for the viewing of old history, it is now fixed, I have been working on an update and one of the things added is the ability to scroll up and down the history list. As far as the raid getting cut off in the history window I understand, it bugs me too, I will be making the entire window wider before putting out the new update to fix this issue as well, it just will take a bit of time as I may need to modify existing calculations for scaling so that the other options tabs are not messed up.
So it took me a couple days to get back with you, my body decided I needed to visit the hospital lol. When you ask does it save the sorting , it will save if I want just dps or hps. I just follow dps. When you ask if it saves the location of the ui, yes it will always be in the spot I put the ui at with the exception of the menu window. When I click the menu button it will bring the menu window up in the middle of the screen and it can not be moved. Glad to see you have a fix in the works for the other things i brought up. I appreciate the work you have done so far.
Ok this is such a n00b question but I have to ask anyways. I read the instructions page on how to install and it looks like it's mostly a copy/paste from similar stuff from WoW. The FAQ section actually says something about WoW instead of Rift.
6) Verify your Rift Installation Path That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your Addons.
7) Move to the Addon folder Open your Rift folder. (default is C:\Program Files\Rift\) Go into the "Interface" folder. Go into the "AddOns" folder.
I don't see an "Interface" folder anywhere in my rift folders. Am I reading this wrong or what?

if you enter the game on your character selection screen you will see addons, click that and you should see an option for open addon directory, click that and it will create the folder structure you need and will open a addon folder that you extract the zip to. hope that helps.
Have been using the meter and like it quite a bit.. having a few issues with errors tho. When any warrior I'm in party with uses Spotters Order, RiftCount starts scrolling errors in grey all down my chat box and continues to do so for about 20 lines (or more). I've also had the same error messages when my ranger beast pet casts one or more of his special attacks. I've noticed it in raids from time to time but not sure if this is due to someone casting Spotters Order or if there is another spell that it is having the same issue with.
I also have noticed that when I drop and pick up new party members for a dungeon, sometimes the counter will freeze and only continue to record my dps on top (without showing it in the main list and without removing the party member who has left). It also sometimes will freeze upon lfg entry into a T2/T1 dungeon.
Overall though, I am really enjoying the addon and it's been a great help! Thanks so much for creating!!
yeah this happens quite regularly meaning every single day, I had thought I needed to update it but I find that I have the newest version already. I have considered removing it and going with a different meter a number of times, but I never get around to it.
Not a problem I will get a screenshot most likely today. It seems to be an everyday occurence that it is happening.
please email me screenshots of this error so that I can fix it, I do not encounter this error when I use the addon myself so I can't fix something thats not happening to me.
could you send me a screenshot of the errors it prints?
