About RiftCount DPS Meter

Welcome to the RiftCount Addon page. This addon is currently a simple DPS Meter. More features will be added very soon and I am always on the hunt for new features to add to my list to implement.

Recent Update:
Menu

One function I am not sure about adding yet as it would be relatively complicated to implement and I have seen very little requests for yet would be ability (skill/spell) information. Information such as highest hit and percent damage per skill would fit into this category. Another feature unrequested that I have considered would be peak dps, possibly splitting fights into user specified sections, either by spitting it into 4 or splitting it every 10 seconds etc, and giving the peak dps per section. These are examples of features that I am looking into adding, especially if I see users showing interest in them.

Sin702, I spent a good part of today working on an update and got it working beautifully for persistent positioning per character as well as a number of other important fixes. The update was uploaded to curse as version 1.1 however it is not appearing for some reason and I cant figure out what is causing it or what I am doing wrong. The description links to an alternate source with the same addon but I have had more luck with their addon uploading and managing tools and have more description and screenshots on that site as well as the up to date v1.1 file available to download, replace your current files with this version and your issues will be gone, please note that /RCPos is now outdated and you can reposition simply by clicking and dragging the timer bar to your desired position. Also there is a second screenshot on the alternate site that shows a sneak peek at the new UI I hope to have working and released tomorrow night.

I like the start of this add on, and I know its still in devlopment. One thing I am seeing is that it doesnt save the x/y position when you move to where you want it. Everytime I load Rift, it always reverts to its original position. For the time being, I have made a macro to put it where i want it everytime i log on. If you can set it up to save its currant location so that it stays would be awesome. Thanks for the dps meter and keep up the good work. =)

to add any addon to your rift client, you must do one step first, launch rift, click the button at the bottom labeled addon, and click open addon directory I believe its called. It will generate the folder structure and open the folder you are placing the addons into. Extract the addon downloaded into that folder, should be a path similar to Program Files\Rift\Interface\Addon\. Place the folder containing the .lua and .toc files into the addon folder and refresh the rift addon enabling UI and the new addon should appear, make sure its checked and your ready to go.

Many addons are condensed to 2 files, more files simply means more organization and is useful if the addon is much larger. The dps list is moveable however it is not currently draggable nor will it save its new position across sessions, these are both being fixed in an update I am currently working on, hopefully it will be ready to release within a few hours. For now please use /RCHelp to view available commands, the command to move the UI is /RCPos x y, x and y are percentage values, x is from left to right and y is from top to bottom and they reposition the top left point of the UI to the designated position, for example /RCPos 0 0 will move the window to the top left of your screen.

GameOverPVP, if you can reproduce these errors in Port Scion please type /log and reproduce the error, then type /log again to end the chat logging and send the log found in your rift installation folder to me at riftdevs@gmail.com, I have been told about an error in a warfront however they were unable to give me the error and when asked to log the errors for me he requeued and found no errors so I have nothing to go on. Any information as to when the error occured, what the error said, ideally the core.lua line number it gives will all help me to find and fix the cause.

Currently there is no readme, when you load the game and the addon loads it will print to your chat telling you to type /RCHelp for more information. However I will put together a readme and add it to the next update, didn't think of it.

I may have missed something but didn't see a readme. How do you move the window?
