SimpleMeter is an easy-to-use DPS/HPS meter that shows damage and healing for both allies and enemies.

Ability Breakdown


  • View and sort by DPS/HPS/Damage/Healing/etc for both allies and enemies
  • Damage/healing breakdowns by ability for both allies and enemies
  • 4 display modes (All, Self, Top 5, Totals)
  • Export stats for both allies and enemies
  • View past encounters
  • Keep track of stats across all encounters
  • Ally/Enemy names color-coded by calling

Installation Instructions

  • Download the addon
  • Open Rift
  • From character select, click the "Addons" button at the bottom
  • Click the "Open Addon Directory" button
  • Wait for the directory to open up
  • Put the SimpleMeter folder into that directory
  • Return to Rift
  • Click "Refresh"
  • Play the game!

    I sent an email to the adddress in the helpme file. It is a screen shot of the error codes that seem to pop up ever I try to use the addon.

    One request
    I used to use ACT. and it has option like this - "Number of seconds to wait after the last combat action to begin a new encounter."
    As there are some buggy instances and SM cannot seperate encounters properly this kind of option could help the situation. Thanks for reading. :)

    Got a question. Encounter numbers are limited as 15 and I wonder if the cumulative tracking mode is active, Are encounters limited to last 15encounters? or is it calculating the whole session?

    yes it does. when you hover over your name, you will see your pet skills with (pet) next to it

    If you make it start when we enter combat, it would be nice if it imported data from others having the same addon, because the most precise data is your own. (meaning your dps is more accurately calculated from your meter than it is from your friends meter). so if you have 2 ppl with the addon you only want his data about his dps, not his data about yours or others dps.

    Would it be possible, besides the resize requests, to have it grown bottom to top, but still be structured the same way? I'd like to place it on the 'bottom' of my screen and have it grow upwards.

    I really that dpsmeter but i can't figure yet what's that Split encounters is doing...

    Split encounter ends your current fight and starts a new one immediately. It works like the "split" feature on a stopwatch. If you're in "All" mode it won't do anything, but if you're looking at single encounters, you should see the # of encounters go up by one and the stats clear and start recording as if it was a new fight. You can then go back and look at the previous encounter, which will have your DPS/HPS up until you hit "Split"

    Love this dps meter. I use it over the other 2 I have tried. All three did show the same personal dps each fight I did. However, a few us of use it at the same time in dungeons and it never reports the same dps/hps from player to player. What was showing to me shows differently to each other person running the addon.
