I am totally new  in such things and definitely not a programmer... but as for Ystra zone, I think the ID zone should be 358 and not really 5, and maybe it causes some kind of compatibility problem? (I am not sure it's an issue with this addon at all. I decided to write just in case it is.)

All I voguely  know is that at least since I updated my yGather installation to work in Ystra (only when one is on Ystra, else it looks like map with ID 5 is shown instead of 358's,) I can't see points of interest in Ystra's map while in Ystra. All other maps work, and all point of interest  are shown for Ystra but only when NOT in Ystra.

I apologize for being innaccurate and in case it's all irrelevant to this addon.

ystra is 5 and 358. If you use the drop-down menu you will see map 5.
I added a small workaround to 'wowmap v5.0.9'

I just wanted to thank you very much for all, McBen! I didn't expect that to happen :)

Now it all works on the version from today :)

Just to update regarding what's going on. I eventualy solved my own yGather & WoWMap/WoWMaP-POI (compatibility) issue, but this solution involved ammature editing of files, at least some of the changes are probably unneeded, and are made to 3 addons - 2 of which are still updating, so I sadly think my exact changes are not of a public interest.

In essence, though, IIRC, I added the applicable info regarding zone 358 to both WoWMap-POI and yGather in one file each, (same as for zone 5 for each. For yGather it was done a while ago regardless), and made WoWMap showing map 358 in all cases in other file. (For this specific issue of yGather, 3 files were ammaturely edited by me WoWMap.lua POI_data.lua and zonescaling.lua instead of fixing the issue in yGather installation)

All of this allegedly only as yGather doesn't play well by map 5, it seems (yGather's only issue, allegedly). Maybe later I would try to check why as it probably would be better to fix the original real problem (let alone with an addon that doesn't update anymore) than to do the immature editing I made for workaround in 2 updating addons, too.

I tried to make this comment a reply to another message but failed, sorry.

Thank you very much for your help! I'll update my installation soon then.

Edit: Strange, now points of interest are shown for Ystra everywhere (as it should), but it stopped recording / remembering resources on yGather after the update, (it used to work with zone 358 only) something which had worked locally when on Ystra after I added zone 358 to yGather instalation. I have both 5 and 358 zones in zonescaling.lua for yGather, (yes I saw the double too late,) and it's look like zone 5 is not used regarding yGather at all, I will try to check this with non edited zonescaling.lua just in case...

Meanwhile, for Ystra zone, either POI or records, (on this case, after the update, POI only for Ystra, so I speculate map 5 is shown both locally and by drop down menu now,) but not both on same Ystra map. I guess I will have to chose. Or maybe even check if I understand anything in the code albeit being a total newbie. Could be 358 on both would help and I am saying this as a speculation of a non programmer who didn't read WoWMap's code.

<splitted the most recent update of this comment into a new reply, for clarity>

Is it, what advanced questboot already does? what is the difference?
Are there some screenshots to see what it looks like?

The idea was to open up the ability for other addons to create POI markers that can be turned on and off from the WoWMap interface. The idea was to make everything that is of interest that is a static placement. (ie mailbox, maids, portals, vendors, pot sellers, craft trainers per type, craft stations per type, etc.)

THe idea is to redo varanas and obsidian maps to be POI blank maps and have all those POIs that are noramlly there be customizable from a nice dropdown menu so that you are not cluttered with POIs that have no value to you
