About Aura

Aura

Aura provides visual cues to the user depending upon criteria the users specifies. Being able to quickly see when you or your targets receive a certain buff or debuff, the time left on the buff, or knowing quickly when your have an ability come off cooldown can make or break the tide of a fight.

Some things Aura can alert you on:

  • When you get a certain buff/debuff( "Enfeebling Strike", "Gork Sez Stop", etc )
  • When you build enough career points( ie. "High Magic", "Grudge", etc )
  • When an ability becomes available( ie. Reactionary styles )
  • When an ability comes off of cooldown( ie: Any of them, including morale abilities )
  • When you have a certain tactic on/off.
  • When you or your target get above/below a certain percent of hit points
  • When your action points go above or below a certain point

What type of notifications can Aura give:

  • Display a texture of your choice on the screen
    • You specify the location, size, scale, rotation, color tint, including animation
  • Play a sound of your choice
  • Display alert text of your choice
  • Display a timer on effects, or on ability cooldown
    • You specify the location, size and color tint of the timer.

    Mine actives the same type effect, if I have one for a named buff, it's activated by any buff I get. Same for blessings, or anything. So I think that the new update is ignoring the "Exact Match" for named effects.

    It would be very usefull to allow filter effect not only by it's name, but also by id. This would enable to create different aura icon indicators for different abilities that sounds the same (Guard on different classes, for example).

    Is there any way to cause a full color body glow, perhaps of a certain color, and use that with aura. For instance, if I have a certain buff on me I will glow myself purple (or red) till its gone?

    I cant directly do a full body glow from what I have seen, but one thing Im adding to the next release is the screen flash effect. Its what happens when you are operating siege and you get attacked.

    Ok...weird thing happened about 1 week ago - no changes, additional auras or reinstall of addon happned..Aura was not changed by me.

    my Aura decided out of the blue to suddenly delete all my auras on all my chars for all my UI profiles - despite them having worked fine for weeks and months in some cases...anyone else ever had that happen? - Never had it before regardless of CTDs, DCs, Logs or changes I've made.

    i set up aura to look for the buff focused midn and the debuff shatter limbs but since 1.3.6 and a reinstall tehy do not appear :[. but if i set it to have an icon appear once a cd of ability such as taunt is finished it appears. do i need to check any otehr settings or did it broked?

    Hi Wikki,

    With the release of patch 1.3.5, Mythic has removed the extras texture from it's Default Skin textures. As such your templates.xml file is causing an error for the Dynamic image Aura_Default_SliderTick at line 308. This causes a visual display effect where the scale slider in the Modify window does not stop and continues off the screen to the right.

    If you alter the template.xml so that the Dynamic image properties of Aura_Default_SliderTick are the same as Aura_Default_SliderTick2:

    i.e. change








    to









    everything works as expected again. Although if your going to have two image definitions the same you could just remove 1 and alter all of the references to the other one.

    Aura seems to reset all my settings each time i log out and i have to redo everything. Does anyone know of a soloution? Thanks

    I have solution. When U set Ur Aura, log out game to character choose screen and log in back. Auras are now saved. Will be saved when U Exit game. Everytime when U will change Aura settings, U must do this log out to character choose screen and log in back for settings save.

    If U use Exit Game after change Aura settings, its dont save.
