About BagOMatic

Overview

Automatically sorts your backpack contents respecting your filters settings. Items are sorted by their attributes (e.g. type, rarity, level). Starting version 0.10 items are consolidated (stacked) together whenever you pack or sort.

BagOMatic saves bag filters by default, so you don't loose them when you reload or relog.

Dependencies

BagOMatic requires LibSlash for /bom commands to work.

Command list
  • /bom sort Organizes your backpack (sort all items)
  • /bom sortbank Same as /bom sort but for your bank
  • /bom sortcraft Sort crafting items
  • /bom sortcurrency Sort currency items
  • /bom sortall Sort all backpacks (items, crafting, currency)
  • /bom pack Remove all empty spaces in your backpack without sorting them
  • /bom reset Resets all bag filters
Macros

You can use these macros for BagOMatic:

  • /script BagOMatic.cmd_sort() == /bom sort
  • /script BagOMatic.cmd_sortbank() == /bom sortbank
  • /script BagOMatic.cmd_pack() == /bom pack

    As of version 1.31, there is an issue with the hooking in this addon that can break addons that display tooltips. The call to BagOMatic.original_Tooltips_CreateItemTooltip does not proper propagate the return value of the function call.

    1.30b is the tag needed for the .mod to get it to work with the recent patch. I don't know why they decided on it over 1.3.1 (which would be much more intuitive), but it is what it is.

    Any chance on sorting talismans differently? Currently done by rarity, but they would make much more sense sorting by rank then rarity, imo. =D

    Still an amazing addon that I use obsessively. Great work Bola.

    Hi Silverel,

    1.3.1 is recognized by the game (at least on my machine :P). Curse shows as "Unknown" but the game doesn't complain about the version.
    Talismans are tricky, mainly because some crappy talismans have high rank and some good ones have low. I will try to come up with something.

    Sorry bout that. I didn't mean in the actual .mod file, but the tagging at Curseforge when you submit the change. Where it says Game Version there's the option for 1.3 and 1.30b, the 1.30b is equivalent to 1.3.1 at least until they get savvy and fix it.

    Also about Talismans, I craft an absolute ton of them. I have one bank full, and a perpetual 10 or so on the AH. The lower ranked talismans are just as useful, and actually sell a bit better than the standard R31 talismans. Not many people bother crafting R6 stuff, but it's great for twinks that use a lot of slotted gear in T1.

    Ever get owned doing Nordenwatch? It people slotting a bunch of purple talis =)

    Anyway, the rank requirements change the value of them a lot. While some people will settle for a +20 R21 talisman, others will be dying to get at it since they can't wear the R31 stuff yet. I think once crafters catch onto this the prices will start to reflect it. Occasionally if I know a frag isn't going to make a high quality R31 tali, I'll break it down so I can make high quality R6 frags. Then dump them on the AH for 40-50g a pop, and they sell like mad. People just love their twinks. XD

    Hello, I realy like this addon but where I most want to sort is my crafts and then I get this error.

    /bom sortcraft , its putts all together but dont sort it for me as id does if its in regular bags.

    I just noticed that now when I have 3 bags it works.
    When I wrote the error I only had 1 bag.

    Bola, I'm just wondering if you have any idea why your mod ignores bag filter settings when using the /bom sort command, and instead just packs everything to the top? Maybe I'm missing something with the way filters work, or the way this mod is supposed to work, I dunno.

    Hi Eloora,

    BagOMatic doesn't ignore filters. It actually uses the exact same API used by the backpack. Probably you have combination of filters that causes the filtering to fail. Try removing all filters and check which combination causes your problem.

    OK, for example, when I set bag 4 for just potions, and bag 5 for everything in the "Misc" category, it seems to work fine. But when I decide I would rather have accessory items like belts clumped with my armor and weapon bags, which are 1 and 2, everything breaks. Each /bom sort thereafter packs everything to the top, regardless of bag settings, and an error message is thrown:

    I changed the .mod to 1.3 (so no need to re-enable manually), but special bags are not sorted yet.
