I went in and deleted the folder from the Addon directory and unzipped a new one. Still not working. I then replaced the whole interface directory and let WarHammer create a new one. Once that was done I unzipped again both programs and they are still not working. I verified the sound is turned on but nothing happens when I receive an incoming tell. The only thing I noticed was that even though I got a whole new interface folder the settings for what channels are turned on or off remained. So when I reloaded the 2nd time all the channels I originally turned off were still off.
I just really wanted to get incoming tell alerts. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks
When I type
/ca sound SHOUT 303
the responce is..
Unable to set sound for channel 303 to .
I have the most recent LibSlash. Also if I just type.. for kicks..
/ca sound
I get.. [string "Interface/AddOns\ChatAlert\ChatAlert/lua"]:127
Any ideas?
In your WAR folder, you have a subfolder called "user". In there, traverse down until you find your characters folder and eventually you will come across a folder called ChatAlert. This folder contains the settings for the addon. The file SavedVariables.lua you will want to open in notepad and change all the sound ids in there. Be sure to not have game running when you do this and make a copy of the file before editing it as backup. This works for me and hope it helps you and all who read this.
and get the message: "Unable to set sound for channel 220 to"
I'm using a german client and tried it also with /language engslish
Need help!
I have updated both the addon and LibSlash.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
Love this addon, and hope to get it working again.
