About Queue Queuer

Queue Queuer will Queue Queues for you! Q QQ Q Q QQQ qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq

This mod simplifies warband scenario queuing with other scenario-oriented features as well.

It was created on 9/27/2008 by Dillon "Rhekua" DeLoss for use by members of Something Awful only, we have agreed to release it to the general public for all to enjoy. Isn't that nice?

Thanks to:
Goons for the beta testing, suggestions, and tough love I needed to make Queue Queuer great.
That terrible spy who paid $10 to leak this mod on WHA, leeched my bandwidth, and subsequently got banned.

Most likely, Queue Queuer will NOT work if any of the following conditions are not met:

  • You must have the most recent version of LibSlash.
  • You must NOT have a mod that completely disables or replaces any of the following: 'EA_ChatWindow', 'EA_ChatSystem', 'EA_ScenarioLobbyWindow', 'EA_GroupWindow', or 'EA_WarbandWindow'. This depends solely on how the conflicting mod is programmed; if you can't part with it, try and see if it breaks Queue Queuer.

Notes:

  • Queue Queuer will place a hexagon right next to the scenario button on the mini-map. You can also use the slash command /qq as an alternative to the UI.
  • If you run into trouble or do not know how to use Queue Queuer please consult the Help section of the user interface.
  • This mod assumes the 'best case' scenario (heh), meaning it hopes the server has enough room in the queue for all parties to join the same scenario. This is not always the case so you may encounter some times when the game refuses to let all parties into the same scenario. TRY PLAYING DIFFERENT SCENARIOS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF I HAVE TO PLAY SERPENT'S PASSAGE ONE MORE TIME IM GOING TO <insert something I am going to do, but not really do, because this is the internet>!
  • This mod is not cheating, hacking, or glitching because even IF both your parties get into the same scenario, you will probably lose because you suck. Besides, people do this already, my mod only makes it less annoying.
  • This mod promotes balanced team play which the game requires to be fun and not frustrating because no one kills the bright wizards. why are they not killing the bright wizards? hey, they are on that tank getting healed, that is pretty stupid of them! lets all leave this scenario and make it much worse for everyone.

2.7 - Updated as of 8/4/2010 9:54PM PST.

  • Queue Queuer *SHOULD* be WAR 1.3.6 Patch ready!
  • Fixed a problem with the Queue Queuer map button not being positioned correctly on a fresh install.
  • Changed how warband queuing works. Now it generates a list based on the available scenarios, instead of the predetermined list I had before.
This means that weekend scenarios or other wacky tier-jumping scenarios can be blacklisted in warband queues.
  • Added detailed tooltips for option settings.
  • A few options that were enabled by default are now disabled, such as Autoqueue and Autojoin.
  • Removed all instances of Tier and Zone checking.
  • If you are a warband leader and you press Queuer Check, you can hover over the QQ button to see a list of Queuers and what group they are in.
  • Queuer Check will now automatically move queuers out of the same group and set them as assistants.
This can be disabled in the options or by slash command "/autobalance".
  • Left clicking on the Queue Queuer map button will now join queues and leave queues if already queued.
  • Context menu blacklist will now grey out scenario text.

Asof today, the QQ button is jumping around and can't stay where I want it to stay. I read somewhere it should be related to the savesetting variable not set to the "true" value.
    Well something like that: savesettings="true"

In light of the leaked patch notes which state that there will be a 5min 'quitter' debuff for leaving a scenario early, I have a feature request.

Please add a button that will "snooze" joining scenarios for 3 minutes. Players who need to quit a scenario for any reason will be able to press this button so that QQer will not attempt to join a scenario again until 3 minutes has passed.

Thank you for the awesome addon.
  • #61
If you could make the amount of snooze time configurable, that would be even better.

very nice add-on. Me and a few other in a WB all have assistance got QQ installed, but when I group queue us, we got spam with the QQ -- Party Join message and this is how it look like.

would be great if we get to disable those message, or make it short and nice :-D

    Thanks for this Great add-on.

Nice addon, it works very well and it is very usefull.

I would like to know how to disable "autoenter" a scenario after the 2min wait but not lose the ability to autowait for another 60s after first 60s run out.

    Thanks.

Anyone else having issues installing this with the Curse Client? If I try from the website, the client is unresponsive. If I try from the client, it fails it hangs at "Retrieving" and appears to be loading the 2/23 version instead of the 5/27 version.

Did the path get changed when they introduced user profiles? Does this mod reflect those changes?

I made an makro to show up the qq window, so I can hide the qq Button(Which does not fit my IU :D ). But the Button won't dissapear even when hidden in the UI Editor. When relogging it dissapears, but will show up again when changing options.

The addon doesn't let us blacklist Maw of Madness, you can blacklist it, but it will always keep queing for it, we have tested it with about 15 people who got the mod and the same for everyone.
Also the addon always has problems with Reikland hills for us, it can
never que for just reikland hills alone, if you que for more then just reikland hills it will que for it. This has also been tested with our entire warband.
Hope this small things can be fixed in future version.

But thanks for making this great mod though and hope youll keep doing what your doing.
    Much love from Karak-Norn.

Finally tracked down and squashed this bug. It was a problem with how I parsed the blacklist queue message.

I'm going to change cities to queue zones and make sure the mod works with 1.3 and then release the update.

    Sorry about this. :
