About Accurate coordinates (DCOORDS)

DCoords v3.x

DCoords is a small lightweight coordinates addon.

IF YOU CANT SEE DCOORDS RESET IT! BY TYPING /DC RESET

DCoords allows you to:

  • Customise your coordinates bar to how you would like it
  • Turn on or off the displaying of what zone your character is in
  • Turn on or off the displaying of what sub zone your character is in
  • Lock or unlock the dragging of the coordinates bar
  • Hide the background bar
  • Change the transparancy of the coordinates text
  • Change the colour of the coordinates text

Usage:

  • Right click on the DCoords bar to popup the menu
  • Right click again or click save to close the popup menu
  • Type /dc reset - to reset the location if you drag it off screen accidentally or need to correct a bug when updating this addon from an older version
  • Type /dc for more info

Updates:

  • 3.03: Fixed bug with world map cursor coordinates, coordinates now also work in full screen map mode.
  • 3.02: World map text position fix, world map full screen note added, bug when in game coordinates disabled world map would not update fixed
  • 3.01: Saved variable fixes, menu adjustments, width fix, scale fix and more
  • 3: Rebuild & Rework of a lot of functions and menus + new world map options
  • 2.92: World map cursor and player location added (not in maximised mode)

HAVING PROBLEMS? CAN'T SEE THE ADDON?

  • 1st: Try typing "/dc reset" (no quotes) then move the addons position, then login and logout again.
  • 2nd: Make sure wow is not running, locate your WTF folder (for me c:\program files\world of warcraft\wtf) press CTRL F and search for "DCoords" (no quotes), then delete all that is found, restart wow and type /dc reset if you don't already see it

Shoutouts!: Big thanks to those who email me bugs and especially the error messages from in game :)

May it fit your UI like a glove :)

It's been a while since I last played wow and from nowhere I decided to buy a months subscription, so I'm back for a short period of time. In the meantime I will do some updates to my addons for all you hardcore players still playing the game.

Updated toc to 50001

    • 2nd: Make sure wow is not running, locate your WTF folder (for me c:\program files\world of warcraft\wtf) press CTRL F and search for "DCoords" (no quotes), then delete all that is found, restart wow and type /dc reset if you don't already see it( there were none)

The coordinates will be displayed as soon it's installed. If you don't ensure the following is done:

    1. In your addons list when logging into wow, make sure it is ticked - if it is not ticket or marked as out of date, there is an option at the top to "load out of date" addons. Tick that then tick dcoords and log into the game and you should see it.

If your hardcore and want to update the addon to the latest version of wow, go into the wow addons folder find the folder DCOORDS and open DCOORDS.toc and update the version number to the current version of wow (I don't know it as I don't have wow installed anymore). Save the file once updates then restart wow and check addons list to see if it's still labeled as out of date.

    2. If the addon is ticked in the addons list and is not out of date or you have load out of date addons on and DCOORDS ticked and you still cant see it. Then try in game /dc reset

    Good luck

    D

Ensure it's enabled in the addons section (you may need to update to DCOords.toc file to current version of wow if they have updated wow again.

    Hi Darcey,
This has been an excellent addon for me over a long time. My screen will look bare without it. I know it can sometimes be hard to continue the effort but believe me you have appreciative fans out there and we would all love to see it continue. Whatever you decide, I give you thanks and wish you good luck with your ventures. :)

bug report: if the addon is disabled in addon control panel addon and then reload and then turn it on again, it loses its positional settings.

this is very common usage since people tend to disable such addons for raiding.

    Great addon!

Also great work on the updates and keeping it compatible with new patches quickly!

One bug though: in the latest version, the opacity for the "in game coordinates bar" Alpha setting keeps resetting itself to 1.00 at various times after I set it to 0.50. Would be great if you fixed that plz, kthx. ^_^

Suggestion: could you make this so it can be integrated with something like ChocolateBar or TitanPanel if I so choose? Basically, a Broker version of this?
  • #109
thanks for the update :) if i might make a suggestion, remove/clean the OOOOOLD tickets from the dev site (the ones that are there have all been handled from what i saw)

keep up the good work :)

with 3.02 i get no curser co-ords on the world map screen, have tried dc reset, uninstall and reinstall.

I have reverted back to 3.01b where the curser co-ords still show.

not sure if this or curseforge is checked more often but, as a request, can you make the mouse coords match the map? ie if you have the map minimized (like a good chunk of us do) can you make the coords match? if i hover over the player mark on the map, it should match the player coords.. and if i go over the map boundries it should NOT track the cursor past the boundries!

not sure if its been asked for but, can we have an option to show or not show the cursor coords?

    thanks for updating

  • #99
I have not found a problem where the cursor hovering over players marker is not the same as the players position calculated. Exceeding boundries... I can't be arsed to work that out..
