About Achievement Screenshotter

Mod by Blamdarot. <BR> This addon takes screenshots of important events in your WoW life. It can automatically take a screenshot when you earn an Achievement, when you Level Up, and when you reach a Reputation Milestone (example: when you cross the Neutral -> Friend threshold), and when you complete a battleground match. <BR> To open the options panel, type /as or /screenshotter. Here you can select which of the event types (Achievements, Level Ups, and Rep Milestones) you want screenshots of. <BR> There is an option to hide the UI while taking screenshots. This option will only hide the UI for Level-ups, Reputation Milestones, battleground endings, and arena endings. (Hiding the UI for Achievements would remove the visual indication that an Achievement was earned.) This option is OFF by default. To turn it ON, go to the Options panel (/as) and check the appropriate checkbox. <BR> Join us at Achievement Screenshotter on Facebook. <BR> <B>== FAQ ==</B><BR> Where are the screenshots saved on my computer? The screenshots are saved to the \World of Warcraft\Screenshots folder where the manual screenshots are stored. <BR> What are the slash commands that open the options panel? /as /screenshotter

    Uses a lot of CPU power while doing nothing!

    didn't take a screenshot on our deathwing kill today :(

    maybe because I died, but the achievement things popped up

  • #93

    All my achievement screenshots were taken with bad timing. I mean the actual screenshot was taken before the drawing of the achievement popup apeared, showing only a bright rectangle.

    Is there a way to change the time when the addon will save the screen?

    I give you a way to fix the "settings not saving issue"
    You just need to modify 1 file(or two)
    In this folder \AddOns\AchScreenshotter
    open AchScreenshotter.lua file by your note or any other editor, find "if( AS_settings.AS_saved_mod_version == nil ) then"
    mark it like this(and "end")
    ===============before you modify shold be like this=========
    if( AS_settings.AS_saved_mod_version == nil ) then
    AS_Default_Options();
    end
    ===============after you modify should be like this=========
    --if( AS_settings.AS_saved_mod_version == nil ) then
    AS_Default_Options();
    --end
    ============================
    that means you always load your default options

    so where is your default options?

    just open Blam_AS_constants.lua, I think you can modify it by your self. Good luck for everyone.

    AS_DEFAULT_SETTINGS = { AS_saved_mod_version = AS_MOD_VERSION,
    AS_hideui = false,
    AS_ss_achs = true,
    AS_ss_levels = true,
    AS_ss_reps = true,
    AS_ss_exalted_only = false,
    AS_ss_bgs = true,
    AS_ss_bgs_wins_only = false,
    --AS_ss_arenas = false,
    --AS_ss_arenas_wins_only = false
    --AS_ss_boss_kills = true,
    };

    Yeah, I read the first page only of comments and all I can say is "Please please please fix the settings not saving issue". The only reason I haven't dropped this addon is because I can't find another... and it's breaking my heart.

    I want to keep using - I'm a loyalist - so please fix it.

    I made a basic mod that does this. RememberWhen. It may not be what you're looking for, but I do believe it's working.
  • #88
    in AchScreenshotter.lua go to line: 70 / 72 / /74 ...

    and replace AS_settings.AS_ss_achs with true for screen at ACHIEVEMENT_EARNED and so on
  • #89
    Sorry can you clarify what should be editted so that the mod options are saved?

    So for line 70:
    "elseif( event == "ACHIEVEMENT_EARNED" and AS_settings.AS_ss_achs ) then"
    should be modified to be:
    "elseif( event == "ACHIEVEMENT_EARNED" and true) then"?
    Is that what you meant?

    useless since the options where not saved. deleted and installed multishop (hopefully this will work). sorry
  • #85
    the continuous reset is not acceptable. I delete the addon. it is useless
  • #84
    same issues with option file resetting continuously. and i second the comment requiring, if possible, to add toon name to the Screenshot. thanks
  • #83
    I love this addon, but I am wondering. Is it possible to put the character's name into the filename? Is it possible to also display information like time played when you level up?

    One of my favorite addons, especially when its a raid boss kill

    I think I've eliminated race conditions (possible cause of problems with options), feel free to check my version - http://www.mediafire.com/?by0i30bjndo2qxc
    I hope, Blamdarot will review my changes and integrate them in next version.
    PS it fixed problem for, but if you still have a problem - post a comment here, please. I really want for this addon to work properly.

    That URL no longer works. Would you mind re-upping? The constant loss of settings and the double screenshotting is driving me nuts. Makes me wish I had the knowledge to fix it myself.
