About Addon Control Panel

Stop logging out of the game just to change your addons!

ACP adds the "Addons" button to the game's main menu (The one you get when you hit ESC). It allows you to manage your addons in game, with an interface which looks similar to the blizzard addon manager. ACP will help you deal with the "Clutter" that multi-part addons and libraries introduce by displaying your addons in logical arrangements. ACP has many features to make your addon list easy to manage, help you with missing libraries, and provide you with detailed information about each addon.

Slash Commands:

/acp - show and hide the ACP window

/acp addset <set #> - enable an addon set

/acp removeset <set #> - disable an addon set

/acp disableall - disable all addons (except protected and ACP)

/acp default - restore the enabled addons to what was enabled last time the UI was loaded

Icon meaning:

Star: Protected addon - this addon will not be disabled when you choose disable all, also if it is not enabled when you log into the game, it will be re-enabled and you will be prompted to reload the ui.

Dk Grey Open Lock: Addon does not supply compatibility information

Lt Grey Closed Lock: Addon has provided compatibility information

Addon compatibility helps you determine if the addon supports the current version of the game that you are running. You will see further information in the tooltip for the addon, and incompatible/out of date addons will be labeled in the main addon list.

Credits:

ACP is based on the work of 2 other projects rMCP, which is a version of MCP modified by Rophy, and MCP originally by Saien.

ACP will enable addons that are needed to run other addons.
If you want to troubleshoot, then write down what addons are enabled automatically if you enable 1 other.

BTW! ---Any update for 4.1 --- anytime soon?---

This addon keeps enabling specific mods that I have disabled since it's last update. One character, or all characters, does not matter. I have tried creating sets, but it still enables the mods that are broken effectively locking up WoW for me.

When I enable or disable an addon in ACP on one character, it actually does it for all my characters. Is there anyway that this only applies to the character I'm on? as if I've selected the specific character list in the login addon window?

I accidentally moved ACP window too far. I can see only the edge of whole window and im unable to move it back. I tried to reinstall ACP but it did not help. Is there any way to "center" the ACP window?
  • #816
Go into your WTF/account/saved variables folder and delete any files having to do with ACP. This is where the location of the window is normally stored.

Enhancement suggestion: I would love to be able to access my sets from Titan panel (to select, save, create, etc) and then reload my ui right there. It would make switching between my day-to-day and my raid set that much easier.

I will, however, try the slash commands, since I didn't see them before.

Love this add-on, thank you for keeping it up to date.

i deleted my wtf and addons folders, installed ACP only, went ingame opened up ACP. downloaded some addons via curse then alt-tabbed back to wow and did reload ui and it dosent show addons, must i relog when adding new addons?
  • #810
If you install addons that were previously not in the Interface/Addons folder, you much actually restart the game client (not just logout) in order to make them available.
  • #811
    thanks for clearing that up

This addon is the best thing I've found in a while. MUST HAVE!

When an addon would cause trouble, I used to have a terrible time both dealing with slow logout/reconfig/login. This addon makes that a thing of the past. Also, with the default system it's horribly slow to debug which addon is causing trouble. ACP makes it super fast and easy to disable/enable a few addons and fast-reload to figure out which one is causing the problem. A lifesaver.

Is there a way to use the ACP Protect feature for items that are have the collapse icon? There are two cases here. For instance:
    - ChocolateBar
    ChocolateBar [Options]
In this case, I'd like to "Protect" both the main item and the child item.

    For another example:
    - Broker
    Broker: CPU
    Broker: Currency

In This case, "Broker" is not a real addon but a category but I'd like to be able to "protect" Broker: CPU.

What is "Recursive" functionality and how do you make it work? Ticking it makes no difference + unticks itself on reload.
  • #813
I realize this is a late reply, but recursive looks for any dependencies for the addons you have turned on, and turns those on as well, but only when you do the reload.

Just recently I have been having the problem where a few of my mods are listed in "loadable on demand" in the addon control panel interface everytime I log out of a toon. When I log into the next one, I have to go into this addon mod and click on the "loadable on demand" buttons because they are simply not loaded. When I look under Blizz's interface, these particular mods (strange that it doesn't do this to all my mods) simply aren't listed like they aren't even enabled. I tried disabling the addon control panel mod to see if it was doing this but the problem persists. I'm at a loss as to what is causing this. Anyone else have this problem? It just started. My next step is to disable all mods except this one and the mods that are being effected to see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, I guess it might be one of my other mods doing it or blizz's interface addon.

"Loadable on Demand" means that part of the addon isn't loaded until it's needed, thereby saving memory by not having them all loaded unnecessarily. For example, Lightheaded's quest information is deliberately divided into sub-folders so that it only loads a portion of them, depending on which quests you have in your log. If it automatically loaded all the info for all quests, every time you log on, that would be far more resource-intensive.

Loadable-on-demand addons should not load until you actually need them. This is not a problem or a bug.
