Customizable unit frame addon.

  • How to configure the unit frames in 3.0

Press "esc" to open the options menu.

Press the "Interface" button.

In the interface options window, press the "AddOns" tab.

Select "AG Units" from the tree of available addons.

Press the "Open AG Units Options" button. This will open the AG Unit Frames options window.

(Alternatively, you can write "/aguf" in the chat.)

Hi guys,

I know there's still some things missing, like layouts for example.

I would have loved to keep the old version of AG Unit Frames up until I thought the new version was 100% ready, but 3.0 came out, so I had to put the new version up. The old version not compatible with 3.0.

That said, I feel that the new AG Unit Frames is much lighter than the old one, while being easier to configure, contains more modern features and so on. As soon as the glitches in the wake of 3.0 is smoothed out, I'm sure many of you are going to be pretty happy with it.

Regarding the missing layouts, the layout system was completely changed, which makes the old layouts incompatible. It is much better and dynamic now and allows for a lot more customization, It is unfortunate that I haven't had time to rewrite some of the old layouts like "classic". I really plan to.

I hope this answers some of your questions!

  • Issues

There is a problem where party members won't be created correctly if they join while you're in combat. This is a bug in the Blizzard interface code and won't be fixed until they release a new patch. This affects all unit frame addons.

    Yeah this use to work before but not anymore for me so i think it's something wrong with mine also i have to check and uncheck the box fade healthbar in player frame to set in properly otherwise it does not work

    What exactly do you mean by "not showing properly"?  (At all?  Look funky?  If it's looking funky, grab a screenshot).

    Of course, I am assuming you're using the one I've been iteratively patching (link below).

    Medivh US - My apologies.

    Tonight, I'll take a look at the error you're getting (cannot do so at the moment).

    In all likelihood, I'm probably going to create a fork of ag_unitframes.  I can do that because it's under the BSD license.  I'll keep you guys posted on that.

    Tom could you please fix the paladin's holy power bar? 

    It stores only 3 holy power and on this patch paladins can store up to 5 Holy Power at a time.

    ag_UnitFrames Fix for 5.0.4

    I'll try to keep this version bug free and up to date with the latest wow lua changes.  I will not do feature requests.  If andreasg/shadowed/nevcairiel comes back, I'll either stop these updates or if he/she wants, take over maintainance.  If you encounter bugs with the above zip, create a character on Medivh and send an in-game mail to Saganaki with the error you're seeing.  There is very likely some issues remaining.  I tried my best to flush out as many as I could (with the set of features I use from ag_UnitFrames).

    8/29/2012 Update.  Known Issues:

    • Unable to move party windows
    • Errors occur when party member disconnects
    • Errors occur when attempting to enable a new UI element when in combat (this may have been an issue before).

    I'll be taking a look at this mod tonight to see if I can resolve all the issues it has with 5.04.  I will post updates to the comment thread.

    It prety much works ok, but there are a few problems with it.


    This is THE best unit frame addon around.  Please update it and keep it alive!
