About ArcHUD3

ArcHUD displays smooth arcs around your character in the middle of the screen to inform you about the health and power (mana, rage, ...) of you, your pet, and your target. In addition, it shows casts, combo points, holy power, soul shards, and a couple of other things. It discretely fades when you are out of combat and at full health/power.

This is a continuation of ArcHUD2 which managed to survive various patches... until the Cataclysm. Thanks to Nenie, the original author of ArcHUD2, for supporting me with this new version.

Please report any bugs or feature requests via the ticket system. The login is the same as your Curse login.

These arcs are currently supported:

  • Health and power (mana, rage, focus, energy, runic power) for player, pet, target, and focus target
  • Player's secondary power (Holy Power, Soul Shards, Chi etc.)
  • Casting/channelling progress for player, target, and focus target
  • Fatigue/breath (mirror timer)
  • Combo points (including unconsumed combo points on previous target, e.g. on dead corpses)
  • Custom (de)buff arcs: Ever wanted to keep track of the stacks and/or remaining times of some specific (de)buffs such as Evangelism, Savage Roar, Beacon of Light, Weakened Soul, etc? Then just create your own custom (de)buff arc for it!

In addition, some additional target information is displayed:

  • Current target (name, class, guild, 3D model)
  • Current (de)buffs on target
  • Target-of-target and target-of-target-of-target

  • added Burning Embers and Demonic Fury to Warlock Soul Shards ring
  • added ring for Death Knight runes
  • added options to center/scale Blizzard's spell activation overlays on ArcHUD
  • added option to hide maximum health/power values
  • added option to swap health/power text display
  • added option to all arcs to allow attachment to inner (pet) anchor
  • added dynamic separators to certain rings (configurable)
  • added rendering of arbitrary arcs
  • added inverse fillings of rings
  • added "shine" to rings (currently DK runes only)
  • fixed an issue with changing pet anchors (ticket #51)
  • fixed an issue with unit frames created by ArcHUD and used by other addons (tickets #52/#38)

Small warning: Using this addon apparently bears a high risk of getting addicted to it, as these user comments suggest. I received those after taking over the development of ArcHUD when the Cataclysm happened:

    Is there a way to reverse the DK rune bar so that unholy runes are on the top and blood runes are on the bottom? I couldn't find an option for it and would prefer it to be that way.

    I have recently been having issues with the cast bar on archud where sometimes it will not show channeling/casting. I notice this most, possibly only on my mage characters no clue why and was wondering if you knew how/if I could fix this?

    No, haven't noticed or heared about it. Are there any lua-errors associated with it or is there any mean to reliably reproduce it for you?

    Hello,

    i have a big problem with archud. i have turned all things off just the bars are there. when i go with the mouse around the bars then i can see the target and the targets target even if it is turned off, what can i do?

    i am a mouseplayer and everytime i do a click to turn me i cant because i click on the hidet targetframe...

    Strange. Did you disable them both under "Display Options" and "Nameplate Options"?

    The problem does not appear if all other addons are off, then your addon works just fine. but it is ok just how it is now. thank you.

    I have uninstalled and deleted and reinstallt but it ist the same. i think there is aproblem with another addon. but i have 160 addons installed, most of them works in the background, and to find the addon which makes the problem, will be hard :-)

    now i have moved the frame outside my monitor above right corner, so it is ok. thank you.

    Well it seems more like a bug than something you need to build an addon for ;)

    I have those frames disabled myself and could not reproduce this. Could you try to save and then delete ArcHUD's config from the WTF folder and reconfigure it ingame? If that solves your problem, please send me your old config via the ticket system (same login as with curse).

    yes i have disabled all, under Display Options and Nameplate Options. Here are some screens. On the LUI Frame Identifier you can see what the Frames are called, when i mouseover.

    I found a solution, but i must do this everytime i reload ui or logon. i can hide these frames thru a script in a macro.

    now i just want to know how to build a addon so it will hide it automatically.

    Hey there, there seems to be an issue with the DK runes ring where I cannot move the side it anchors to, nor can I move the number placement of the arc so it's basically stuck in that one place.
    Minor annoyance but I've gotten so used to having enemy statistics displayed on the Right side and my own on the left. Thanks for an awesome addon btw :)

    Chi point tracker is displaying worng for me, shows "1...." does not track chi points but looks like it's tracking energy instead.
