Mini-Guide to Fewer Digs

James D. Callahan III:
    - Comment fix.
    - Miscellaneous variable renames, and use the Race object directly in SolveRaceArtifact()
    - Semantic cleanups.
    - If missing data for the current artifact for whatever reason, set the race's currentProject to nil so the previously-completed project goes away.
    - Race:GetArtifactCompletionDataByName() => Race:GetArtifactCompletionCountByName() and changed it to only return that value, since the other two values were never used anywhere.
    - Use the project's stored completionCount in the tooltip, instead of looking it up.
    - Also lowercase names of artifacts defined by initial pass of GetArtifactInfoByRace()
    - Use :tolower() for storing and matching project names to prevent a few Blizzard inconsistencies from causing failed matches. (Project name: "Calcified Eye in a Jar" Spell name: "Calcified Eye In a Jar")
    - Don't try to update the skill bar when loading into the world.
    - keystoneIDToRaceID => KeystoneIDToRace, keystoneLootRaceID => lootedKeystoneRace
    - Make sure currentDigsite isn't nil before attempting to record looted keystones. Should really only happen if the UI was reloaded before loot was grabbed.
    - Replaced HasArchaeology() with private.hasArchaeology - set in OnEnable() and updated whenever SKILL_LINES_CHANGED fires.
    - When announcing projects that were just solved or can be solved, include the project's icon.

It works perfectly and fills your Archy.lua with nodes.

    I love it.

I can't get that one to work, just ends up in a "service unavailable" error after it's loaded for ages.
  • #258
Sorry if this is dumb, but how exactly does the distance indicator work?
  • #313
i'd like to ask the same thing. the little green box in the middle of the screen, which never changes colour no matter what the survey instrument is flashing. is it a work in progress or should it be doing something?

I luv this. But 2 days ago the Digsite ans Artifact lists moved to the upper left screen over my character portrait and it will not move. I tried reset, moved my portrait, etc etc but no luck.

Right click the Archy icon on your minimap. That should unlock the frame so it may be moved.
  • #260
    That doesn't work

Got the same problem, a tad annoying.

Tried MoveAnything to see if it could help, but no luck.

Very nice addon. I've had the luxury of watching it as you've consistently added functionality via the Curse Client.

    Keep up the good work!

White seems to be if that is the first time you've ever completed that particular artifact and gray is if you've done it at least one other time. It is useful to determine which types you want to complete first for achievements.

Is there a slash command for enabling/disabling the digsite boundaries on the minimap? I have a macro set up to quickly enable/disable the digsite and artifacts lists as well as the digsite icons on the minimap. I'd love to be able to enable/disable the disgsite boundaries as well with it.

Cant move the text that appears top left screen.

Well I got the thing installed..I love it but I'm running into it not showing nodes on the minimap(or they'll just disappear). I'm running Mappy for my minimap, I read what you said about adding the items to their protected list...but I cannot find a "protected list" anywhere with Mappy. In game, addons folder or is Mappy just something that this addon is not going to work with?
  • #249
It it possible to add the nearest flight point to the list? With so many of them these days that would save a little time

Hello there. I just downloaded the addon and I love it. I use it for the option to have an overview of which digsites are where. On the digsite overview there are atm 4 collumns: Dig counter, Icon, Name of the digsite and the location. I was wondering if you could make options to show/hide the icon collumn, and show/hide the fragment type (my request).
My request: Add a 5th collumn showing the fragment type, because having to hold my mouse over each digsite to read what fragment type I am dealing with is annoying. And also I am bad at remembering the icons. So as an example my thought would be: "0/3 | | Night Elf | Twilight Grove Digsite | Duskwood". ("|" is just to show the collumn split. Curse replies don't like more than one space :P)

PS. When clicking a digsite which is in Stranglethorn Vale, it shows the map of both north and south STV. Can you change it to specify if it's north- or south STV and then show the correct map when clicking the digsite?

PPS. I have the same problem as Megalomaniacs, and Timmar: Digsite boundries are not restricted to the minimap and the digsite list is in its default position whenever I relog.
