I have a fix ready for the next version which will probably be out today sometime.

Daihenka, I must admit you've done an impressive job in a short amount of time with the addon. As it so happens I'm a Quality Assurance Game Tester with another company. With some of that mind set I have a single suggestion that will make your addon the single most important Archeology addon in the game.

I have noticed that there are ABOUT 6-9 total possible fragment locations within each site. (Two clues point to this, 1. Occasionally a fragment will spawn at the same location as the last one, allowing you to survey at the last location and recieve another fragment, 2. Another player finding a fragment at the same exact location as you are)

If you could just simply log the location/coordinates of each fragment location once used it would eliminate a good deal of surveying. Users would only have to survey once and then head to the appropriate location.

Once a site that has already been logged is identified, it would simply things greatly to the player to just load those logged fragment locations thus far.

I also noticed a bug where occasionally the window pops up for the wrong racial (IE: I've had Nelf open, and I've closed the window and reopened to to see the troll artifact displayed under the Nelf window). If you wish I can track that down a bit better with screenshots.

    Sorry, bug is:

After opening a fragment, despite window being open to Nelf, window automatically switches to Troll, WITH WINDOW still open.

    Hi Zigguratei,
I have added a "dig recorder" in 1.5.3 of Archy. It will place an X on places you have successfully received fragments from at that current dig site.

As for the bug, I will be looking into this soon. I do know it is due to how the Archaeology API is implemented.

I noticed you received high props on MMO-Champion today and this feature was mentioned. Thank you SO much for implementing it!

Now can I get a cookie? *laughs*

would it be possible to make the addon mark the outer rim of the areas on the minimap ? would make it easier to see when you are getting close to the border of the digsite.
  • #38
I really love this addon. The TomTom support makes my surveying much faster!

Here is a few problems I have:

-The digsites does not appear on minimap. I think this might be due to me using SexyMap as minimap.

-I hear no sound when I can solve an artifact. I tried looking in the Interface options but could not see anything related to sound

Are you using v1.5.1 or v1.5.2? If not, update.
  • #34
Just started Arch and I like this addon a lot. Is there a way to show only the closest site on the minimap instead of them all? This would be a lot more useful and would eliminate the need to keep looking at the world map over and over.
  • #35
Additionally, it would be nice if there was an option to also hide minimap digsites when left clicking the icon to hide the arch text (when you're not arching).
  • #36
And as long as im listing requests, it would also be nice if that rather large, screen-hogging tooltip also had the option to be "turned off"/disabled along with the info text and minimap digsites, which one would do when they are not working on arch.
  • #54
All three of your feature requests will be in v1.5.3 of Archy.
  • #60
You are amazing, thank you and well done.
  • #33
This addon is amazing, thanks for putting it together

I found a couple issues with the latest release

Collecting from Dire Maul doesn't change/update the dig site icon with the Night Elf icon.

Also, if you toggle Alchy off in an instance, and go outside, the TomTom integrations shows up, when it normally hides if Alchy is toggled off
  • #41
Looks like any zone change will cause the TomTom Arrow to show up, even if Archy is toggled off

Also, it would be cool if the color changed for artifacts would change when they can be completed with a keystone, instead of just when you have enough fragments
