ah I need a ldb mod to have the tooltip, thanks for the replay

  • #1338

Items on the tooltip with an asterisk are interactive.

You can click the race to expand the missing rares at the bottom of the tooltip like shown here.

This is one of my absolute favorite apps. It has made archaelogy much less painful, and more enjoyable. Thank you so much!

I'm having a problem in which my default archaeology skill window is blank on the races page.  This is new with the most recent version.
I really like this mod otherwise.  Thank you for keeping up with updates and responses.

How do I get  Archy off my minmap? No matter where I put that damn little circle, my mouse cursor always seems to find it at the worst possible time and bring up the screen.

  • #1330

Go into Archy config (from interface options or /archy config) and in General Options check "Hide Minimap Button" ??

  • #1331

    Cool Thanks!

I'm having an issue with Archy not working for 2 alts, but works fine for the rest. I'm not sure if this is considered a bug report or what... I don't actually have any LUA errors to report, just wondering if there is something I've done wrong. I have 7 toons that do Arch, and 5 of them have no problem with Archy. The other 2, well there isn't even an Archy mini-map icon. When I access Archy via the Interface -> Addons menu in WoW, it's blank. Command-line commands are not recognized except for /archy help. Any ideas?

    (Archy ver 1.8.11)

Otherwise it's a great addon. It's nice to know how far I need to go from my last survey, and the ability to see the progress for each race for the continent I'm on is great. The little yellow arrow on the minimap pointing to the next digsite is perfect for us that choose to fly our own mount instead of the in-game taxi... You just point your mount in the right direction and go make a coffee. lol.

    Fixed in v1.8.12

Note: For any upgrading to one of the latest alphas directly from v1.8.11 release you need to completely exit the game and restart after upgrading, a simple reload won't do as there's been new files added.

I'm just curious, how would you add a distance/time gadget to this addon? I looked through the code but i have no clue what to do. I found the variable nearestSite.distance, which i guess is the one that calls out how far away the dig site is in yards. But i don't get much further than that, in WoW i have a script that checks the current speed of the player. Combining those two would give an estimated time to reach the dig site. I really wish Arch had an estimated time showing up, since most of the time you're flying and you wonder if you have enough time to grab something to eat without pulling out the calculator.

  • #1325

If you have TomTom installed and the relevant options enabled you get the estimated time right below the crazy arrow.

    TomTom crazy arrow

Key stones in Archy interface are left-click for placing, right-click for removing unlike the default interface which does both with left-click.

(this is because in default interface each keystone has its own socket, where in Archy to make the interface more compact there's only 1 socket holding multiple keystones and a left-click toggle wouldn't work)
