  • LDB Tooltip showing missing rare artifacts per race and overall archaeology progress

I wish that worked for me. The only keystones that work for me are the ones for Trolls, all others do not work. Archy recognizes that they exist (they're shown in Archy stats), but won't use them. It's rather annoying.
  • #1175
I can use keystones just fine as long as they are in my inventory while I'm out surveying. If I pull them out of the bank and then try to use keystones, it won't work until I next survey and loot fragments, because Archy doesn't correctly update it's concept of current inventory except on fragment loots.

I tried all the version available for download on Curse, and all of them has the problem of not using key stones. I know it used to work, so I'm assuming something must of changed with one of Blizz's hot fixes.

I've just now gotten around to working on archaeology with my warrior toon, and this note expands on the error Sanska wrote about. Note: I'm using v1.8.5a of Archy.

I'm having the same problem, but with a slightly different twist. The twist is that Archy is seeing and using tokens with Trolls when solving , but so far this is not working with any other race. The other races solve just fine, but all tokens are completely ignored.

I'm going to go back to earlier versions to see if I can identify when the bug was introduced and will make a note here with the results.

I get that too. Once when completing a dig, and once when something is solvable.

There's no error message involved with this, but I've noticed something strange... When I have dug up an artifact after tracking it down and I'm attacked by something at that precise moment, my character movement by mouse is locked and any right click of the mouse will survey the site, even a right click on the use item cogwheel on the exposed artifact. I cannot turn to attack the offending mob with my mouse, but my pet's attack hotkeys work. I think movement is still possible using the keyboard, but I haven't tested that yet

What exactly is Blacklisting supposed to do? I thought it was to "shut off" a particular dig site or race, but I keep getting sent to those site. Any Insite you can give would be appreciated.
  • #1165
I got a suggestion. I would like Archy to X out locations you've already been, preventing the tiring, unending feeling of going BACK to a place you've already been to before.

Basically, like a checkbox. When all locations are dug, it will reset. Make this an optional feature.
  • #1167
The list of places to dig is randomly generated by the Blizzard servers, and is not an internal calculation in Archy.

Every time you finish one dig site, the list gets updated automatically.

Created a profile just so I could tell you how much I like the seamless integration with TomTom, esp how when you hide the Archy windows it also hides the TomTom arrow. It's an example of perfection all other addons should strive to achieve.

A quick suggestion for a feature, or perhaps i haven't looked through the supporting information enough to find it yet. Is to be able to scale the window that pops up when you hover over the mini map icon, or better yet the ability to toggle its display on and off either with something like shift+ right click or an option in the config panel.

Right now I have to completely disable Archy everytime I want to use a keystone to complete a project, because otherwise pressing the 'Solve' button doesn't do anything. But apart from that, it does make Archeology a lot less tedious!
  • #1166
I'm having the exact same problem. Was driving me nuts trying to work out why I couldn't use them. Disabled Archy and was able to use them again. Now I'm going nuts doing Arch without Archy loaded :(

There's no error, when I try to use keystones with Archy loaded, it simply doesn't work. Any ideas?

    user Lilbet:

Torhal and I went over your ticket, which is good you filed. A few things to note, which probably have a huge impact on why things are not working for you.

You have Gatherer, GatherMate, and GatherMate2 installed. Pick one, as they are mutually redundant. I suggest GatherMate2, as it is the newest and most up-to-date. GatherMate does not even work for Cataclysm; Gatherer and GatherMate2 do, but again, having both is pointless.

Also, you have two different "auto grats" addons. AutoGratz and AutoGrats. Pick one, preferable the newest.

Silver Dragon and NPC Scan do the same thing. Pick one.

AVR is dead, and hasn't worked since 3.2 or 3.3. Uninstall it, as Blizzard killed this addon dead.

Further, you have BossTactics installed, with no Cataclysm level boss support.

Between BossTactics, AVR, and that your installed version of Archy is 1.8.1 (which was released June 3, and has been updated since, ALL for Cataclysm) I suspect you are playing on a private server at Wrath level. Unfortunately, private servers are not supported, as they violate Blizzard's Terms of Use.

One other thing: strangely, your ticket claims that the Curse Client is not updating your addons, yet you filed a ticket under Archy. If you are playing on a private server, that explains much.

How do you enable a dig-sight after you have disabled it via right clicking on the dig-sight's list?
