About Archy - Archaeology Assistant

If you care at all about my wishes, you won't download this AddOn from SolidIce: They are leeching it from the site I actually choose to put it on.

Archy is an assistant for Archaeologists that want information at their finger tips.

Actually, since I just took this project over a couple of weeks ago I was unaware that if you hover your mouse pointer over the top-right corner of the frame, you'll see either a plus or minus button fade into view: Clicking that toggles between modes.

Bug: Genertates alot of error on toons that dont have archaeology learned
  • #1103
I'll look into this - I'd already pushed the new version before I saw your comment.
  • #1100
Just simply disable AddOns you do not need on the specific toons.
  • #1096

Grimsilt is misspelled as Grimesilt and causing an unknown error in the digsites frame and tomtom integration.
  • #1098
According to and other online sources Grimesilt is correct.
    I'm not getting any errors.
  • #1097
Probably a good idea to file a ticket on this on curseforge.
  • #1101
Hit this today -- It says it knows no information about Grimsilt when you get a digsite at Grimesilt.
  • #1102
Fixed in 1.8.2 - it is "Grimesilt", but there's a Blizzard bug which returns "Grimsilt" in a critical code path; I've worked around it in such a way that nothing will break when they fix this.
  • #1095
Apologies, but 1.8.1 version does not work. I get a critical lua error that says null value, but 1.8 still works.
  • #1094
Just wanted to say Thank You to Myrroddin for all his work on keeping Archy alive, and thanks to Torhal for picking it up since RL has struck. This is an awesome add-on, and I couldn't imagine doing Archaeology without it.

great addon. I have a problem i can´t seem to find a solution to. I can´t see the Digsites- and the Artifacts boxes, even though i checked the options to see them. don´t know if this is the right place to post it but giving it a shot
  • #1092
@ yunohu, that error has already been reported, in the correct place (spamming the comment section is not the correct place) and the good news - it looks like it is fixed in the next build.

    Torhal said:
"WoWAce is the development site - all releases are synchronized to Curse."

I sadly cant see this :(

There are several new(er) releases on and they are not published here, why?
  • #1091
Because the "releases" on wowace are NOT releases; they are alpha builds. "WoWAce is the development site - all releases are synchronized to Curse." was the answer, not the question.

When the addon is deemed stable enough, Torhal will tag a beta or a release, and then it will show up on Curse.

Feel free to try out the alphas if you like, but remember they are alpha builds and may not work, or work as intended.
