Profession AddOns

Due to the increasing data size and memory usage with each WoW expansion, the professions have been split into their own AddOns; you need only download the ones you'll be using. Each installed and enabled profession AddOn will load whenever it's first accessed by the ARL core.

You can either download the Ackis Recipe List Addon Pack which has Ackis Recipe List's core and all profession AddOns, or install the profession AddOns separately:

Note that Ackis Recipe List will not work without the AddOn for the profession you are trying to scan. If you attempt to scan a profession that is not installed, you will be informed.

Hmm that pattern comes up twice.

    Can you:
    1) Make a ticket
    2) See if you have Duskweave boots marked as "missing" from your recipe list.

Those are the two spells, which is why there's an issue.

Just a note for you Ackis for 1 item (leatherworking).

Leatherworking - Fur Lining - Arcane Resistance
Drops from the Frostbrood Spawns at Sindragosa's Fall in Icecrown (73,42 area)

I did a search on there was a couple of comments on wowhead, after killing quite a few i finally just got the drop myself (killed around 45-50(ish) with about 6-8 being unlootable (stupid things fell on the cliff face i couldnt loot). I wasnt goign to post until i had the drop myself.
I don't know were the pattern-Bracers of Deflection drops and no ammount of search brings that up at all.
  • #511
    Yup got that added :)

    Dataminer picked it up :D

BTW if you want to contribute to the accuracy of ARL, install the Curse Client and let the Curse Profiler send data updates. :)
  • #517
Am not sure but would that also pick up Trainer taught Patterns too?
As i have noticed there are 2 that have no information, but are in fact taught by the LW trainers in Dalaran/Howling Fjord/Borean Tundra.
These are for the Ice Strikers Cloak and Durable Nerubhide Cape (440 skill required).
  • #520
The missing info from trainers/missing skill levels is an issue with wowdb... no idea how to get them to fix it since they're busy with other priorities. =/ I'm looking at ways to get the skill data myself.

Hi Ackis, thanks for the great add-on, it's a real time-saver.

I'm using ARL v.Beta 11 1148 with en-GB WoW 3.0.3 and my main is an Alliance Hunter. I went through my two professions (450 Gnomish Engineering and 377 Enchanting) and have listed a few issues I found below. Sorry about this giant info-dump I'll understand if you decide to ignore it. :D

    *** Engineering ***
Chat message "Mechanized Snow Goggles 61482: is missing from the database. Please inform the author of the add-on about this recipe."

Schematic: Surestrike Goggles v3.0 ( drops only in Sunwell Plateau but is not excluded when Obtain:Raid is unchecked.

Schematic: Stabilized Eternium Scope ( drops only in Karazhan but is not excluded when Obtain:Raid is unchecked.

Both Schematic: Mekgineer's Chopper ( and Schematic: Mechano-hog ( show up for me even after unchecking/applying General:Faction, they should be Alliance-only and Horde-only respectively (AFAICS).

All (bar the one I already learned: Truesight Ice Blinders) of the level 72 engineering goggles (;maxrl=72;cr=86;crs=5;crv=0) show up even though it's only possible to learn a single type based on class. This does not happen with the level 62 goggles using the same filters (i.e. with General:Classes unchecked).

    *** Enchanting ***
Formula: Enchant Gloves - Superior Agility ( and is available both from an AQ drop and from KoT rep, ARL only shows it as an AQ drop. ARL also doesn't exclude it when Obtain:Raid and Rep:KoT are unchecked.

Formula: Enchant Gloves - Threat ( and is available both from an AQ drop and from Sha'tar rep, ARL only shows it as an AQ drop. ARL also doesn't exclude it when Obtain:Raid and Rep:Sha'tar are unchecked.

Formula: Enchant Cloak - Dodge ( and is available both from an AQ drop and from Lower City rep, ARL only shows it as an AQ drop. ARL also doesn't exclude it when Obtain:Raid and Rep:Lower City are unchecked.

Formula: Enchant Cloak - Stealth ( and is available both from an AQ drop and from Cenarion Expedition rep, ARL only shows it as an AQ drop. ARL also doesn't exclude it when Obtain:Raid and Rep:Cenarion Expedition are unchecked.

The following items are only available from AQ drops but are not excluded when Obtain:Raid is unchecked/applied:
Formula: Enchant Gloves - Healing Power (
Formula: Enchant Gloves - Fire Power (
Formula: Enchant Gloves - Frost Power (
Formula: Enchant Gloves - Shadow Power (

    *** General Suggestions ***
If you open one profession then click Scan, then open a second profession I'd expect Scan to update the ARL window to the second profession rather than closing it.

Would it be possible to add All and None checkboxes in the Reputation filter section similar to those in the items filter section.

    Thanks again.
  • #510
    Thanks :D

I've moved these over to different tickets for the project :) Some are already fixed.
  • #500
I am posting this conflict on both authors pages. I also use FloatingFrames

When i open a crafting window FF seems to overrule your 'Scan' button. Is this something that can be fixed here?
  • #509
Can you please make a ticket and provide a screenshot? :)
  • #497
I love your add on, but I do have a question. Is there a way to use Ackis to export your crafting list to so it can be posted on the web?
  • #508
There is, but it's not easily accessible. There's a dump option when you go the the interface options panels for ARL...
  • #522
I made it a bit easy to get to... shift-click on the scan button to get the dump.
  • #494
Hi Ackis. Nice product, my first comment/suggestion.

    I'm using ARL 1.0B11.

under Tailoring you list Boots of Darkness

Apparrently this recipe is not available to players. I don't know where this recipe came from or where it originated from but it is completely unavailable to players. Is this intended?
  • #495
ok, I've added that to the ignore list. :)

    It wasn't intended.
  • #489
Just to make you aware, if you aren't already, of what I assume is more datamining errors.

This happens on all my 70+ plus characters and from what I see all their professions but in particular the Cooking profession and in one case the Enchanting profession.

All my characters are Alliance. This is for English client. I have deleted the ARL folder and the SV file portion. I reinstalled version 1.0B11 and relogged each character and rescanned all their professions.

Under cooking even with the Faction filter option deselected I am still seeing some Horde recipes. I say some because with Faction selected to scan all recipes I see more horde recipes. Evidently the filtering/database still allows some horde recipes to still "leak" through even with the Faction option deselected. On my Enchanter I still see some horde only formulas even with the Faction filter option deselected. Also I noticed at least one cooking recipe is missing, the Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe. Its missing from even the Known filter option on those characters who do know it. There could be other missing recipes for this profession and for the others.

Another curious thing is none of this seems to happen with items that are beyond skill level 150. But then again this is a glance through and not a in depth look at every item and profession. Hope this helps.
