About Auditor

Auditor is a nifty addon that tracks your incoming and outgoing money from a variety of sources, and provides an easy to use Data Broker interface to choose whose data you would like to look at, and for what time period. It is, essentially, MoneyFu for those who have obsessive information disorder. Like me. Yes, I *must* know how much I spent on training last week. Why? I dunno. But I must.

PLEASE NOTE: Auditor is now made for LibDataBroker (LDB). A list of LDB Display Addons and other addons using LDB can be found here.

If you use FuBar then just grab Broker2FuBar, and Auditor will merrily show up as it always has done for you, once you have enabled it in the Broker2FuBar options.

  • LDB at last! Yes, your eyes don't deceive you. Probably.
  • Money tracking, and lots of it.
  • Data separated by realm.
  • Character totals.
  • Combined totals.
  • Clickable tooltip to customise what you can and can't see.
  • Ability to look at all your characters' specific data from any of your other characters on that realm.
  • Accounts can be viewed per session, day, last seven days, or in their full, all-time glory.
  • Cash notification options.
  • Optional auto-repairs (per-character preference).
  • Optional auto-sell for grey items (per-realm preference).
  • Time offsets, so you can set Auditor to reset when dailies reset!
  • Many things. Just get it and see!

What does Auditor track?

  • Loot money! Whether you are solo, in a party or in a raid.
  • Vendor money! Stuff you buy from or sell to vendors.
  • Quest money! Money you gain from quests, and money you spend on quests (e.g. the Scholomance Key quest).
  • Trade money! Doing enchants or transmutes? Yep, it catches money exchanged in trade.
  • Mail money! Sending money to/from your alts or friends? Tracked.
  • AH money! At last, both outgoing AND incoming Auction House money is tracked.
  • Training money! How much did you spend on training and respecs? Do you care? Well, you'll know anyway.
  • Flight money! Spent a day flying about Azeroth? See how much you should claim back on your tax expenses.
  • Repairs money! See how much money you really spent on repairing your kit after those instances.
  • Unknown money! Money gained/lost, but for whatever reason, Auditor can't work out where it's from. Better than nothing, anyway.
  • Reconciliation money! That's money for when you just installed Auditor, and it has to account for the cash you have right now, or for when you crashed, or were logged on at a friend's house. It's all good.
  • Guild Bank money! Money you deposit or withdraw from your Guild Bank. Exciting, I know.
  • LFG reward money! Guild contributions money! Reforging money!

When does it track it for?

Auditor tracks your money:

  • Per session.
  • Per day.
  • Per last-seven-days.
  • And all-time.

    Hey, nice piece of work.

i faced with a problem when i get random DC. i lost my "outgoing trade" information.
  • #84
No way around this, unfortunately. The only thing you can do is do a /script ReloadUI() at random intervals, because this causes WoW to save into savedvariables.

    Hey Alarisha,

absolutely great add-on i was looking for for a long time. In the beginning i was searching for an add-on to help me book-keeping or to make up a balance but your add-on did the job.

I got one problem: I don't get Auditor to work properly with an add-on like NazScrooge, which gets me a virtual lockbox for my money i want to keep from spending. Auditor gets quite confused by the money kept in the lockbox. Maybe you got an idea, how to tell Auditor to ignore NazScrooge.^^

    Thanks for a great add-on.

Hi there. Unfortunately, I don't want to put in code to cope with the way in which other addons mess about with in game API calls, as it opens a crazy can of worms and requires me to constantly check to make sure said addons haven't changed the way they do things.

    Sorry :(

    Hi Alarisha,
Wee problem, I have been using the FuBar addon for years, and changed to Auditor2 and added Broker to FuBar. I did remove the folders as required, but now I get the following error:
Interface\AddOns\Auditor2\Core.lua:188:attempt to index 'Historical' (Nil Value)
I have removed all the relevent folders and reinstalled, and get the same error.
Can you or anyone help please?
    Cheers and TIA

Hello, first thanks for your AddOn
I just have one question, is there anyway to make the tooltip appear on click rather than mouseover?
  • #70
I also keep getting this on login (or reloadui):

[2009/06/10 11:44:21-1072-x1]: FuBar_AuditorFu-3.2.1\Core.lua:441: attempt to call method 'FormatMoneyCondensed' (a nil value)
    AceAddon-2.0-91096 (AtlasLootFu):983: in function
    : ?
    AceEvent-2.0-91091 (Ace2):260: in function `TriggerEvent'
    AceEvent-2.0-91091 (Ace2):910: in function

  • #72
Due to major changes to Auditor's code, please DELETE your old Auditor folders from your addons directory - the folders to delete are Auditor2 and FuBar_AuditorFu. Then just reinstall, and you'll be ready to go. The FuBar plugin is no longer supported, as it has been replaced by a Broker plugin. :)
  • #73
Thanks. That did in fact solve the problem.

Currently the Auditor Broker tooltip (using DockingStation) disappears immediately after you mouse over the icon. You have to mouse over the icon and quickly mouse over the tooltip for it to stay visible.
  • #54
It works ok for me and the other DS users that I know of - perhaps try updating DockingStation?

DS does some weird stuff with the tooltip that other LDB displays don't do, but the author is looking into it at the moment, I understand.
  • #59
I have a DS bar at the top of the screen (set to auto-hide). The tooltip for Auditor disappears right away if I mouse over and the cursor is at the very top of the screen. If the cursor is down inside the bar when I mouse over it displays normally. Other DS plugins don't appear to have this behavior. I did update to the latest DS, no change.
  • #48
    I has a problem.
Auditor does not function with me.
    - I have no minimaps symbol
    - I have no Fubar symbol
    - Broker2Fubar does not show me auditor also in

    What can this lie with?
    If bad English excuses.
