About Auditor

Auditor is a nifty addon that tracks your incoming and outgoing money from a variety of sources, and provides an easy to use Data Broker interface to choose whose data you would like to look at, and for what time period. It is, essentially, MoneyFu for those who have obsessive information disorder. Like me. Yes, I *must* know how much I spent on training last week. Why? I dunno. But I must.

PLEASE NOTE: Auditor is now made for LibDataBroker (LDB). A list of LDB Display Addons and other addons using LDB can be found here.

If you use FuBar then just grab Broker2FuBar, and Auditor will merrily show up as it always has done for you, once you have enabled it in the Broker2FuBar options.

Features

  • LDB at last! Yes, your eyes don't deceive you. Probably.
  • Money tracking, and lots of it.
  • Data separated by realm.
  • Character totals.
  • Combined totals.
  • Clickable tooltip to customise what you can and can't see.
  • Ability to look at all your characters' specific data from any of your other characters on that realm.
  • Accounts can be viewed per session, day, last seven days, or in their full, all-time glory.
  • Cash notification options.
  • Optional auto-repairs (per-character preference).
  • Optional auto-sell for grey items (per-realm preference).
  • Time offsets, so you can set Auditor to reset when dailies reset!
  • Many things. Just get it and see!

What does Auditor track?

  • Loot money! Whether you are solo, in a party or in a raid.
  • Vendor money! Stuff you buy from or sell to vendors.
  • Quest money! Money you gain from quests, and money you spend on quests (e.g. the Scholomance Key quest).
  • Trade money! Doing enchants or transmutes? Yep, it catches money exchanged in trade.
  • Mail money! Sending money to/from your alts or friends? Tracked.
  • AH money! At last, both outgoing AND incoming Auction House money is tracked.
  • Training money! How much did you spend on training and respecs? Do you care? Well, you'll know anyway.
  • Flight money! Spent a day flying about Azeroth? See how much you should claim back on your tax expenses.
  • Repairs money! See how much money you really spent on repairing your kit after those instances.
  • Unknown money! Money gained/lost, but for whatever reason, Auditor can't work out where it's from. Better than nothing, anyway.
  • Reconciliation money! That's money for when you just installed Auditor, and it has to account for the cash you have right now, or for when you crashed, or were logged on at a friend's house. It's all good.
  • Guild Bank money! Money you deposit or withdraw from your Guild Bank. Exciting, I know.
  • LFG reward money! Guild contributions money! Reforging money!

When does it track it for?

Auditor tracks your money:

  • Per session.
  • Per day.
  • Per last-seven-days.
  • And all-time.

    O.o

Crazy. I hope you figure it out soon!

Downloading through the Curse downloader without embedded libraries causes an error. It says it's unable to find an instance of LibQTipClick-1.0 (but it did download LibQTipClick-1.0 as a stand alone library). Downloading the version with embedded libraries works fine. I even tried copying LibQTipClick-1.0 into the Broker_Auditor\libs folder, but it didn't work.

The packager is doing some weird stuff to LQTC at the moment - not including files and all sorts. If you would like to run with no embeds, I'd suggest downloading it separately and checking it has the .toc and so on within the folder, as well as LibQTip-1.0 inside.

I noticed in changes you were using GIT... If you're referring to Github any chance you could put up a link to your repository?
  • #16
    I'm using CurseForge: http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/auditor/

    My repository is at: git://git.curseforge.net/wow/auditor/mainline.git

I'm using the latest Titan Panel but the Auditor icon isn't showing up on the panel. The option to show icon is defaulted to yes. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
  • #17
I'm not sure, xtc500. I have tested it with Titan, and everything, including the icon, works fine. Perhaps you need to toggle the icon from the Titan menu, by going into the Auditor bit and ticking the Show Icon option from within Titan's options?
  • #46
Was about to post about the same problem but decided to RTFM and found this in the Titan Panel readme:

"- Plugins are controlled by hovering the cursor over a Plugins Category on the right-click menu, such as General or Information, and clicking an unchecked plugin to display it or clicking a checked plugin to hide it."

So besides checking "Show Icon", "Show label text" etc you also have to check the addon itself. Seems like a easy thing to figure out but I was completly lost for a while :)

A small feature request, would it be possible to get for the ldb display a moneyformat that shows the coin icons?

"If you say 'plz' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'."

You didn't specify relationships on Curseforge...I would have had no idea you were using LibQTipClick had I not looked in your folder. :D
  • #9
    :D

And LQTC is awesome-sauce. I will get round to doing that kind of thing when I have some free time to work out how on earth Curseforge works. I find the lack of readily apparent documentation disturbing :P

Took me about 45mins last night to work out that to make a description page, I had to create a page called Main... would have been nice if it did it automagically :P
  • #10
Ouch. That sounds much more painful than WoWAce...but you can't upload zip files there. :)
  • #12
I managed to get the reverse relationships thing working. Wohoo!
