About Auditor

Auditor is a nifty addon that tracks your incoming and outgoing money from a variety of sources, and provides an easy to use Data Broker interface to choose whose data you would like to look at, and for what time period. It is, essentially, MoneyFu for those who have obsessive information disorder. Like me. Yes, I *must* know how much I spent on training last week. Why? I dunno. But I must.

PLEASE NOTE: Auditor is now made for LibDataBroker (LDB). A list of LDB Display Addons and other addons using LDB can be found here.

If you use FuBar then just grab Broker2FuBar, and Auditor will merrily show up as it always has done for you, once you have enabled it in the Broker2FuBar options.

Features

  • LDB at last! Yes, your eyes don't deceive you. Probably.
  • Money tracking, and lots of it.
  • Data separated by realm.
  • Character totals.
  • Combined totals.
  • Clickable tooltip to customise what you can and can't see.
  • Ability to look at all your characters' specific data from any of your other characters on that realm.
  • Accounts can be viewed per session, day, last seven days, or in their full, all-time glory.
  • Cash notification options.
  • Optional auto-repairs (per-character preference).
  • Optional auto-sell for grey items (per-realm preference).
  • Time offsets, so you can set Auditor to reset when dailies reset!
  • Many things. Just get it and see!

What does Auditor track?

  • Loot money! Whether you are solo, in a party or in a raid.
  • Vendor money! Stuff you buy from or sell to vendors.
  • Quest money! Money you gain from quests, and money you spend on quests (e.g. the Scholomance Key quest).
  • Trade money! Doing enchants or transmutes? Yep, it catches money exchanged in trade.
  • Mail money! Sending money to/from your alts or friends? Tracked.
  • AH money! At last, both outgoing AND incoming Auction House money is tracked.
  • Training money! How much did you spend on training and respecs? Do you care? Well, you'll know anyway.
  • Flight money! Spent a day flying about Azeroth? See how much you should claim back on your tax expenses.
  • Repairs money! See how much money you really spent on repairing your kit after those instances.
  • Unknown money! Money gained/lost, but for whatever reason, Auditor can't work out where it's from. Better than nothing, anyway.
  • Reconciliation money! That's money for when you just installed Auditor, and it has to account for the cash you have right now, or for when you crashed, or were logged on at a friend's house. It's all good.
  • Guild Bank money! Money you deposit or withdraw from your Guild Bank. Exciting, I know.
  • LFG reward money! Guild contributions money! Reforging money!

When does it track it for?

Auditor tracks your money:

  • Per session.
  • Per day.
  • Per last-seven-days.
  • And all-time.

You have to delete FuBar_AuditorFu. After you have deleted it, Broker_Auditor will show on your FuBar if you install Broker2FuBar (linked in the description), or if you use any LDB display addon (links in the description).

    Thanks :)

thx for update the add-on. I use it for a long time.

I can confirm that the mouseover statistics in combination with the fubar add-on doesn't work. It would be very nice if you can fix this.
  • #41
on mouseover the new auditor does not show the dropdown statistics menu anymore, same with my friends! :(
  • #42
Hmm. Which new? The latest update, or any of the ones I have uploaded onto here? And do you mean it doesn't show the tooltip with all the money?

Do you have any error logs to post? They would be really helpful if you do. Thanks!

Hi! Love Auditor, it's a great addon - I love being able to track and keep an eye on my finances.

To that end, though, I'm seeing what may be a bug of sorts...

Last night, I shuffled money from my bank toon to my main (5800g) buy my epic flying mount and the appropriate riding skill. (First time, yay!!)

Now, in logging in, *all* of the information in the "cashflow" section (loot, vendors... all the way down the list) shows as having 1g 7s 9c incoming - with nothing outgoing.

Obviously, that's impossible. :) Thought I'd let you know!

I'll delete the adddon/reinstall and see if that gets me back on track, and let you know.

    Thanks,
    -k

And are you using the latest version? 4.1.2?
  • #34
Could you mail me your saved variables, or attach them to a file in a PM please? This sounds like a nasty bug.
  • #37
    Sent via PM. :)
  • #36
Certainly, I'll be happy to send them to you. Just to make sure I'm sending you the right file - You want the \world of warcraft\wtf\account\[myaccountname]\savedvariables\auditor2.lua file, right?

(Side note - closed wow, uninstalled/reinstalled Auditor, did a few transactions, and now *nothing* is showing in the "cashflow" section. Weird.)
  • #38
Side note, in doing some more testing - after doing transactions, then /camping, and loading a different character, the numbers show up as they should. So, it appears to me - and I know nothing about coding - that the transactions are, maybe, not saving to the file until you /camp? *shrug* I can only report what I observe. :)
  • #39
That's so strange. Could you possibly download and install !BugGrabber and Bugsack from this site, or through the Curse client, and let me know if they report any errors? This sounds like a problem with the tooltip display, so the data is being gathered, but then not read properly.

Also, what locale do you use? Thanks!

Try this... When the latest versions of Auditor began to be released, oh about two or three weeks ago, I noticed that my Auditor simply stopped working. I had Auditor 2 and Auditor2Fu. They wouldn't work no matter what I did. At some point, I almost deleted the AddOn. I liked it so much I figured to give the forums a try and see what came up. I saw the author mention that Auditor had added Broker2Fubar support.

With that knowledge, I downloaded http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/SearchResults.aspx?q=broker2FuBar and installed it. Once I did that not only did my Auditor work perfectly, but it has taken on a whole new life.

This AddOn is amazing. I've loved it in BC and I still love it to this day. Bottom line is, if you are running an older version of Auditor, you may want to update your mod. If you have updated your mod and it's not working anymore, get Broker2FuBar. If it still doesn't work, then you have a real problem.
