About Auto-Bag

1.) AB automatically moves items to special bags (like herbs etc), if there are any and there is space in them. No need to do anything for that, it is automagic. :-)
2.) AB destroys grey items when free slots fall under a certain limit (default 3 slots, changeable). But it only destroys items (or stacks) below a certain value (default 1g, changeable). This has to be activated by you by entering "!poor" as pattern and "destroy" as destination. After that you can use "/ab junk" to see what will be deleted.
3.) AB lets you set every item to be put into a certain bag or to destroy it. However it will only be destroyed when free slots fall under the set limit. Otherwise it is kept to be sold later.

/ab - open the Options frame.
/ab info - show settings.
/ab slots <freeslots> - change slots to keep free.
/ab poor <poor limit> - change the limit for grey destroyable items. You have to enter a value like '2g' or '1g 50s'.
/ab junk - show what items are destroyable with the current setting.
/ab verbose <on/off> - change verbose mode. Verbose mode tells you about moving/destroying items.
/ab special <on/off> - toggle handling of special bags.
/ab toogle - toggle Auto-Bag on/off

Take a look into README.TXT for advanced functions like user generated itemgroups.

Thanks for the new addition about Equipment Sets.  Now I can style around SW.  Cool

This addon seems to be the culprit for my FPS issues. Once I've looted a certain number (bags are getting really full) my fps drops to 4. :\

Thanks for posting a ticket about this, however, I am still unable to reproduce the problem.

I have tested what ever I could think of in the Beta for Pandaria, and it appears to be good to go. Obviously if anyone finds anything not working, please raise a ticket. Happy Panda'ing Cool

    Now it works perfect :D

    Thanks for the update!

    Hi 666cursed666,

I have a problem with the destroying of grey items. If I enter !poor as pattern and destroy as destination I get an error from swatter (see below) and grey items will stay in my inventory. Hope u can fix this.

Hi Guys, if you have any issues, suggestions etc for this add-on, please view/drop a ticket at :

    Thanks :)

I have found a bug.  My normal bag setup is:

    1) Tattered Hexcloth Bag

    2) Embersilk Bag

    3) Luxurious Silk Gem Bag

    4) Luxurious Silk Gem Bag

If I swap a Luxurious Silk Gem Bag with a Triple-Reinforced Mining Bag the the unused Luxurious Silk Gem Bag goes into a loop swapping with the in use Luxurious Silk Gem Bag.  I must turn off AB and then go put my unused Luxurious Silk Gem Bag in the bank before I turn AB back on.

The looping AB message is: "moving Luxurious Silk Gem Bag from # to bag # (itemfamily 512)"

I'll be glad to assist if you need anything.

Thanks KippG, I'll look into this.

Looked into it, and fixed it (I hope) - Tested with mining sacks, reproduced the bug, and then squished it.

    Thanks for the report!

I tried it this morning and it worked great... no looping!!  /cheer

I can't tell you how big a grin was on my face when I read the change log too!  Laughing

Awesome, thanks for the fix.  Its a great addon.  You have my grats.

  • #23

I have now moved the config (at least some of it) into the normal addon gui. The 'Groups' config is still on the .lua file, but I will move it to the gui when I decide how to handle it :)

Fixed a few issues along the way, hopefully without adding any new ones.

Please note : if you trash something with the !junk group - it will be your own fault. Make sure you know what your going to lose when you use this special group.

The 'Open Bags' button calls a WoW function, the fact that it is a little flakey is not my doing, its a Blizzard thing :)
