getting this error on low lv alt's before i can choose a spec , i believe it's kinda normal since it keeps trying to figure out what role to set , but can you maybe add a protection to disable the addon till lv 10 or so we arent spammed by it every fight :p , ( ps: yes i am grouping very early on leveling a char with somebody else )

Since patch 5.2 :)
Sounds awesome. I'm going to try it and let you know about any bugs. I play healer a LOT in BG and I like to make sure I set my role so people have an idea of how many we have (especially for the hybrid classes so they know their focus)
I havent DLed this addon yet, but I have one question. Can you manually change your role after it autosets it for you?
Sometimes I cheese it in LFR or on Sha by queueing as dps while in tank spec, cause i need tank gear. Then I don't want to draw attention to it by selecting tank role.
The addon is not designed to do this. It is designed to show your role based on your current spec choice.

Yes, it does this if you have no current spec. It's something I simply looked over. It's safe to ignore this error for now since it goes away once you pick a spec but I'll release an update to fix it. Thanks for your feedback.
my mage hasn't had that error yet, though my druid had. Can't say it it was before i i had set specs. i'll have to test a couple things. I look forward to an update.
Updated and working for patch 5.0.4!
so I had the addon in my folder forever before trying to get it to actually work.
no, the average user doesnt know how to install ace3 where it needs to be.
no, the addon does not seem to install it when installed with (at least the mac version*) of the curse downloader. (the mac version is Different. having used both of them I can tell you that with certainty, also checked the downloaders options to make sure it wasnt being hindered from downloading the library, program has no options related to libraries.)
also, the addon never gets to the point of making any files in the wtf folder, made sure to make sure the addon had a clean install.
I deleted the addon (multiple times, I really like the idea behind it).
Changed the addon some since people can't seem to figure out how to search for Ace3 on Curse when it isn't automatically downloaded for them.
Nice idea, it was what I needed.
It didn't work at all the first time : missing ACE3 dependency. ( ## Dependencies: Ace3 in the toc)
Can you add this somewhere ?, it really can help other players..
Now if I look into the "what it does", I have some strange issues :
"AutoRole will automatically set your role when you enter a raid or change specs during a raid. It will also select and accept your role during role checks without needing any user interaction. You won't even see the role check popup window. Just install the addon. AutoRole scans your spec to determine what role you fill and sets your role accordingly."
- It does NOT auto select my role when entering a raid (checked multiple times, resto/elem shaman) - I have the first popup
- It DOES auto accept my role, and I DON'T see the popup. At least I got this..
- It does NOT auto-scan my spec.. since I have to manually select my spec at the role call...
Can you look into this please ?
Please, I don't flame, it's really a great idea and a nice addon but I would like to know why I have issues.
Thanks.
