About Aware

Aware notifies you of spells used by enemy players, for example Cloak of Shadows, Divine Shield, Shadow Ward and many more. Aware shows a message in the center of the screen when a spell becomes active, and also when a spell fades. This allows you to react to the situation even faster than you would normally.

Changelog

  • Aware now only displays listed spells, and will no longer announce every buff cast on a player. Sorry!
  • Stub added to save configuration between logins.

Any plans on a 4.1 update to this addon? Getting Lua errors in 4.1 using R2.

There will be a 4.3 update for Aware, but due to not having an active World of Warcraft license, I'm unabel to test any of the code. Both of us have stopped playing World of Warcraft a short while into Cataclysm, and unless I find someone who can help developing and has an active WoW account, I really don't have an ETA on an update.

Looking forward to using Aware but can't get it to work.
I uninstalled previous version before installing 0.1.6 and get this on startup:

    Date: 2011-02-06 09:50:52
    ID: 1
    Error occured in: Global
    Count: 1
    Message: ..\AddOns\Aware\Aware.lua line 6:
attempt to index global 'this' (a nil value)
    Debug:
    [C]: ?
    Aware\Aware.lua:6: Aware_OnLoad()
    [string "*:OnLoad"]:1:

Thank you, we indeed confirmed this after deploying the update for patch 4.0.3, and decided not to fix it for that release, but include it in the 1.0 re-code we have in the tube for 4.0.6. It won't be long, promise!

For brevity, the development team has decided not to add any options to the core of the addon. The goal with it was to keep it extremely compact, yet efficient and we want to stick to this design philosophy.

You could always use something like MoveAnything to move AwareFrame and stuff.

how do i open for options to move it or something like that

Really good addon so far :) Add a control panel and it will be near perfect

Any way to add some options to it, like changing the size of font and placement? Also would be nice to have enable/disable opt.
  • #2
Will add that in the next release. Cheers.

Still haven't made any change in that?
