Everytime I submit a report I am getting DCd...  I get the popup window, I click "Accept"  and BAM.. DCd  Every time.

    What's going on?

Looks like problem on blizzard side.

i had same disconnects after report. Deleted addon - was reporting manually. had d/c in 50% of reports.

This has been a random and unpredictable issue ever since spam reporting was added. Not an issue with BadBoy and not an issue I can fix. :(

Does anyone else get DCd when reporting?

I get DCd when manually reporting and when clicking the link that BadBoy says to click the report spam.

    Can this be fixed?

I really like your addon!! It clears so much clutter!

Can I submit a spam/advertise site that spams loads of realid invites with the same message?
I have made different ticktets to Blizz but not really with a proper responce so I hope your addon can help :)

The link to reporting spam is in the addon description.

Alright, I've only had this happen once since the update, but I think you need to add "FRIEND_PENDING" back in addition to "FRIEND_REQUEST" for the CHAT_MSG_BN_INLINE_TOAST_ALERT events you watch because I've logged on without it removing existing entries until I reloaded.

I think PLAYER_LOGIN fired before the BNet information was available so it didn't catch them.

Question:  How does BadBoy determine if a B.Net friend request is spam or not?  I have been doing mini pet trades cross realm... and this requires that I get B.Net friend invites.  I would not want any of those blocked as spam.

  • #997

was wondering about his my self since the addon OQueue is using the battletag system to work

The exact same way it determines if chat is spam. It scans the note attached to the invite, most people don't even add one in their invites.

So if I got a b-net request that had a note that said something like,  "Stone trade," would that get flagged as spam?

I'm not sure why people are misunderstanding this. Do people saying "stone trade" in trade chat get flagged as spam? No. Like I already stated it uses the EXACT same mechanism to scan invite notes. It needs to be far more suspicous than that. If you're paranoid about this then you should be paranoid about chat scanning also which is the core of this addon.

Keep in mind that invite reports are also logged by BadBoy_History.

So if I got a b-net request that had a note that said something like,  "Stone trade," would that get flagged as spam?  Because that is the exact type of comment that I would expect to have in a legit request... and I auto-reject any requests that have no note at all unless I am expecting them.

Actually, thinking about it, I would prefer to accept or reject b-net friend requests manually anyway since I don't get anywhere near as many as I do random spam whispers.  Would it be possible to disable this feature?

BadBoy only checks pending BNet friends for spam when you log in, so it doesn't catch any you receive while online.

Nope, it also registers the event. Is it not working for you?
