About BadKitty

BadKitty v2.5

BadKitty is a debuff tracker for Feral Druids. Originally designed to accurately track Mangle's remaining time regardless of how many Ferals or Arms Warriors were in the raid, it has grown to track all buffs, debuffs, and cooldowns important to every cat (and bear) who cares about their damage output.

Savage Roar, Mangle (Trauma included), Faerie Fire, Rip, Rake, Tiger's Fury, Berserk, Glyph of Shred charges, Omen of Clarity, Predator's Swiftness, Demoralizing Roar (Demo Shout, CoW, Vindication included), Lacerate, Thrash, Pulverize, and Barkskin are all tracked and take into account any overlapping debuffs that may exist in your group or raid.

In both Cat and Bear Forms, two options are available for you. A small bar frame akin to many simliar mods, and a unique 'warning' frame that displays on your screen images of any buff or debuff that will soon need your attention. These two options can be used independently or simultaneously. Color, texture, and opacity options are available for these as well.

If you have any errors, questions, comments, or suggestions, put them in the comments here, or come bug me on Gul'dan (look for Anatinus). I try to improve BadKitty when I can, so your words will not fall on deaf ears. Happy Shredding!

I had the same issue after one update. I found out that the warnings was turned off in the option menu. Enabling warnings again solved the issue for me!

or uncheck 'Lock Frames' in the options menu.

hi, recently for some reason badkitty randomly bugs out and stops showing timers during combat, the only way to fix it is to relog, even reloadui doesnt work, any ideas?
  • #383
When this happens, check to see if any other combat-related addons work (Recount, Eavesdrop, etc). I've found that sometimes all addons become 'unregistered' for the combat_log event, which means they aren't given any combat information. It's not BadKitty-specific, since I've had guildies without BadKitty report the problem.

I change addon sets when i switch between resto and feral and for some reason when i re-enable badkitty after having it disabled it forgets the position of all the windows causing them to stack up in the center of my screen (although it does seems to retain all other settings).

I do the same thing (switch between feral and resto). What i've found is that you don't need to disable BadKitty when you spec resto. I just have it not display out of combat and it doesn't display if I'm in Tree form so no worries. And when you spec Feral and go Cat form, it shows in combat.

BadKitty uses WoW's own addon placement thing to remember where it should be placed. When you disable the addon, WoW forgets where to put it.

I can change that. I'll take care of it next push.

Is there a way/option to just not display this addon? I also switch between Resto and Feral and I would find it easier to be able to not display this addon while I'm healing and display it when dps-ing.
  • #384
You could turn off all 4 frames. Go into the options menu and unclick 'Cat Bars', 'Bear Bars', 'Cat Warnings', and 'Bear Warnings'.

    Well done, mate :)
    I'm really loving your addon.
Keep up the good work! :)

Recount didn't work too. I had to ask a mate how my dps was without timers :)

    Hey,

First I want to say, great addon, but I've got some problems with it.

Sometimes the addon stops working (like yesterday in a raid). It doesn't time anything. I've to relog then to make it work. This can be pretty annoying when you notice it after starting an encounter. Is there any way to fix this?

    Thanks
  • #375
This actually is something unrelated to BadKitty, I believe.

What happens is all of your mods will somehow become 'unregistered' for the combat log event, which means it stops getting all combat information. I'm not really sure how to fix this, but it's happened intermittently to me, as well as guildies (who do not have BadKitty installed).

Next time it happens check to see if Recount and stuff still works. If they DO, then this is a new development I'm unaware of.

I have problem with Instant Nature bar, it doesnt scale with bar length (I checked "scale with bar" in options). It start from half of bar. Here is a pic: http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/2784/wowscrnshot121609215637.jpg thanks.
