About BarFix

BarFix

This is a very light-weight addon, that cleans the default actionbar and enables you to modify them in many ways.

It uses the default actionbars, so there is no code running in the background or any extra graphics.

I have cut down my FPS by at least 10-20 points, since I use this instead of a fancy action-/unit- bars addon with many custom frames and stuff that I never used anyway.

Very easy to use. There is no option screens to handle. Ready to use out of the box!

Futures:

  • Cleans the graphics from the bars
  • Move bars anywhere
  • Resize bars
  • Change scale
  • Change alpha
  • Change spacing between buttons
  • Choose the number of buttons to be shown
  • Choose vertical or horizontal direction of bars
  • Dock bars
  • Up to 5 extra actionbars with 12 button each


Instructions:

  1. Bind a key to the "Edit" mode
  2. Hold mouse over any button of the bar you want to modify
  3. Press the bound key to enter "Edit" mode
  4. Make modifications (more info in the tooltip over the bar)
  5. Right-click the orange "B" button (B=Barfix) or press the bound key again to exit the "Edit" mode



To disable any extra part, rename or delete the corresponding file:

Rename or delete "BarFix_BagFrame.lua" to disable the bag frame.
Rename or delete "BarFix_Minimap.lua" to disable the minimap frame customization.
Rename or delete "BarFix_PlayerFrame.lua" to disable the player frame customization.
Rename or delete "BarFix_TargetFrame.lua" to disable the target frame customization.
Rename or delete "BarFix_ExtraBars.lua" to disable the extra action bars.

    Hi shervin,
    nice mod, small, clean for the most part...but have a few problems using it. First, the default menu drops dungeon queuing which is pretty handy instead of keying from my perspective. Also, might want to look into the switching from vehicle interface to normal as it has a few quirks. The exp bar elongated and reappeared on the bottom part of the screen, reload fixed it, and during vehicle use the bars shifted and were superimposed (clickable as well) just above and right of the vehicle interface. This happened during the flight quest in the DK starter area so that might be an easy thing to test for you. Hope you get it figured out since I sorta liked it compared to most other bar mods....

    I'm having a really hard time with this AddOn. The only part I even like is the player frame, but I *really* like the player frame. xD When I'm trying to move my bars where I want them, my main action bar doesn't move. BarFix says it's editing the totem bar, even though I'm a Druid. I'm lost. :( I really want this to work. BTW, there is artwork for different minimap looks, but I can't edit my minimap either. Anyone know how to fix my challenges?

    I sort'f accomplished the main action bar challenge by deleting the totem bar, though my Shaman... I don't know how it works for her. With my Druid, when I shapeshift, any empty action buttons are replaced with the main action bar action for that location; is that normal? Also, getting rid of the "extra" action bars removed my secondary action bar (page2 if all default bars are shown). I still can't figure out how to change the minimap artwork.

    Since my Shaman is my main, I reinstalled all the features of BarFix. I really love this AddOn. Anyone who's having challenges editing your main action bar, just mouseover the LAST button, and use your hotkey. It'll target the bar without trying to target the totem bar. If anyone figures out how to edit the minimap, let me know.

    Is there a possibility to show vehicle ui in the Mainactionbar, instead of the Default Blizzard one?

    Barfix is not showing in my addon list. I deleted the addons folder and used Curse to install, still not showing in the addon list. I exited completely and started wow over.

    I've got Bankitems and Beancounter, no other B's.

    Barfix shows up at the end of the addin list with any other addins with coloured names. Just an FYI
    Any one ever find a way to make a default layout?
