FAQ

Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins? :(
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

As of today's patch I have to check then uncheck various Blizzard items I had previously turned off on each toon every time I switch to that toon, e.g. stance bar, bag bar, etc.

I started noticing this problem this morning. Interestingly, it didn't happen immediately after the patch. I updated one of my mods this morning though, Broker: Cashflow. Disabling that mod seemed to make the behavior go away. So maybe it's some kind of weird mod interaction?
  • #3088
An updated version (r105) of Broker: Cashflow seemed to fix the issue for me. But I'm running Bartender 4.4.12 still, haven't updated to 4.4.13 yet.

    Seeing the same thing here

Same problem here. A quick fix would be neat.
  • #3074
Same problem here. I just made the parts I want disabled 100% transparent and click-through.
  • #3080
    The same problem here, too.

Bug report: Quite simply, turning this mod on will disable your key ring - you know, the one blacksmiths have to open in order to us a key they've made on a lock box.

Need to include functionality to open your key ring.

I'm having problem with the "zoom" feature not getting rid of the border around the icon. Is that intended or a bug?
  • #3076
It hasn't been working since the wonderful patch. Sigh.

It hasn't been working since the wonderful patch. Sigh.
  • #3071
Yeah i was a fan of the "zoomed" look too and it doesn't seem to work now. /sadface

Been with WoW for some years now...

Every time I log in now i have to re-keybind my bars, and its getting annoying. Is there something I should be doing to make it stay?
  • #3063
Before 4.0.1 the Leave Vehicle button would show up on the end of the Vehicle Bar but now it is not there? I didn't change any settings with the newer versions, but maybe I need to.

Thoughts on hotkey range indication problem.

In Bartender it is possible to hide hotkeys for each action bar - it doesn't hide them completely rather it replaces them with a small circle that is either white or red depending whether or not the target is in range and whether or not a particular spell is applicable to the target. This worked fine prior to the patch - although I can’t remember which version of Bartender I had installed at that time.

In the standard WoW interface settings there are check boxes which allow you to choose which of the standard action bars are displayed. Previously these check boxes could be ignored since the ones enabled in Bartender took precedence, I discovered last night that unless they are also checked in the WoW interface the hotkey range indication for that bar no longer gets updated.

The latest version of Button Facade seems to further break hotkey range indication since it moves the my hotkey markers outside of the button icons (as well as any macro names) so I disabled every single addon except Bartender and deleted the Bartender WTF file to ensure no old settings were confusing the issue.

With just Bartender active and all the action bars checked in the WoW interface, the hotkey range indication does seem to work but it can take so long (20 – 30 seconds) for the indicators to change they are all but unusable.

I’m not lagging and I have 60 fps so I doubt it is a shortage of processing power.
