FAQ

Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bar) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins? :(
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

    Bartender Bug

    BUG ALERT

I choose to only show the first 6 buttons of the main Actionbar (1,2,3.....0,-,=)

I have keys bound on the hidden buttons, when i /reload or relog, the hidden buttons arent usable (pressing 7,8,9 etc does not perform the action).

To get these to work i have to /bt go into the bar, drag buttons shown to 12, then back to 6, as if to remind BT that the buttons still exist.

Considering that u cant /bt in combat, i start a fight and cant use some of my most important buttons, basically have to force a wipe and fix the issue by doing what i stated above.

    Info:

Its Bar 1, i have keybound  ` to replace 9, everything else is the default bindings, i have the bar set as click through, buttons 7 through to = are hidden.

I'm having an issue with bartender where it won't show any of my bars. I can't find a place to even edit them anymore. I have the latest version installed.  Is there something i'm missing?

Got the same problem. Normally I install manually, but when I installed via Curse client on my sons computer it worked fine. So I reinstalled on my own with the client and then it worked. So no explain but a way around hopefully.

Have to disable all the time now and i cant see 3/6 glyphs sometimes when Bt4 is enabled..

If i diable and then enable i se glyphs however if i close wow loging i can get 3/6 and Bt4  is blocking this interface window again.

I thought the patch had reset my glyphs or some weird..

  • #4710

No no no no no!! This addon just took a GIANT leap backwards! Now after the update, my bars get the blackout timer on them when I am CC'd/Silenced.

I was praising this addon because it was covering that up from the default UI. Please revert this!

Reinstalling 4.5.5 until Blizz removes that crap.

    Qft!

  • #4716

Agree, it's really off putting and in your face. Please put in an option to turn it off at least.

  • #4712

+1, remove it or the addon is useless.

  • #4725

What? The addon is not useless. If you don't like seeing that you cannot cast spells when you're stunned or silenced then get over it. That's how WoW works now and you have always been unable to cast during stuns and silences.

I agree, can we atleast get an option to turn off this crap, its highly annoying.
  • #4709

The Enable Check Box is missing on 5,6&7 bars after the update, so I can't get them to show up on my screen. I'll try re-installing, but this will be my second time doing so.  I LOVE this mod and hope it's fixed soon.  Thanks for all of the hard work you put in on it.

Fixed now...4.5.8 was the answer. Thanks!

    4.58 fixed it for me...tyvm

  • #4704

same issues with multiple bars not showing up..

  • #4703

I don't know if it's got something to do with this recent update a few minutes to go, but my game just crashed 4 times in a row after entering Vale. Didn't do so before the addon update.
