Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins? :(
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

So far as I know, there are no slash commands to show/hide a bar.... you can set bars to hide unless you mouseover them, but that's about it. As for your gear, Outfitter will handle that, but Bartender is only an action bar frame, not gear swapper, sorry. I understand what you mean about wanting more automation, but there's just some things that cannot be done (yet).

    This is making me insane!

I turned off bartander for this 1 character. Went in and made sure bars 1-6 were correct. Turned bartender back on and now bar1 and bar7 are the same!!!

How the hell did it get into this state! How can I fix it!! I want 10 unique bars!
  • #1242

I had the same problem for my dk char. I think it is in the visibility tab of the bar, i have only the hide when possessing checked. That seemed take care of my issues.

    Hope that helps,
  • #1244

It might be the possess bar option or actionbar paging in the state configuration section now that I think about. It has been a while. Sorry about the confusion.

  • #1238

On one character and one character only bar1 is the same as bar9!!!! Anything I put in bar1 shows up in bar9 and visa versa.

I have 9 other characters all using the same f'ing profile and they do not have this problem!!!

I have been pulling my hair out and am about the throw the computer at the god damn wall! I want to play the game not spend problems trying to solve mystical problems.

What in the bloody hell is causing this!!

Hey, is it possible to let the bars fade out after 90 secs, if not used?
    Thanks! :)
  • #1255
It is possible to set a bar to fade out to 100% transparency if not moused over, but I do not think there's a timer option... mouse over to show, move mouse off to hide.
  • #1235
AngstX, if it's a part of default Blizzard UI, try using addon "Hide_Blizzard", that's how I solved issue below your post.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make a hot bar appear/disappear with a type command /showbar 8 or something to that affect
  • #1230
My issue appears to be caused by Bartender, however I have not been able to find any info on this particular glitch. I get a partial frame that appears in the middle of the screen after a short time of playing, and the only way to remove it is to /ReloadUI, however, it always returns shortly after. Image: I have tried stability testing all my addons 1 at a time, and this only occurs when Bartender is enabled. I've been using Bartender for a long time and love it over all the other bar mods out there, but this glitch is becoming a nuisance. I installed Bongos for a trial run and have been playing all day today without the issue. The ONLY mods I have installed currently are Bartender (currently disabled), Bongos (temp use), Titan Panel, & Quest Helper. Again, I have tried stability tests using all addons one at a time, and this only happens while Bartender is enabled, both while Bartender4 is the only addon enabled, and/or all at once. I have also done a complete reinstall of WoW, as well as used the Blizzard Repair Tool, running first just a file check, then a complete reset. Same results every time. Only happens when Bartender is enabled. Any ideas? I would so much rather use Bartender than Bongos. Thanks.
  • #1231
Addendum: Sorry, meant using Dominos as temp, not Bongos.
  • #1232
Addendum 2: It appears that the frame belongs to a QuestHelper error box ("QuestHelper has broken, you may have to restart WoW or type ''/qh error'' for more detailed options"), as that entire box just popped up while QuestHelper was enabled, and the box is the exact size and position to fit the frame portion. Not exactly sure how I was still getting it while Bartender was the ONLY addon enabled at the time, but just for info's sake, the frame is definitely an QuestHelper error dialogue box. I'll research the QuestHelper error forums for further info.
