FAQ

Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins? :(
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

    • NOTE: If you're still seeing the cooldown swipe or the cooldown bling on faded bars, make sure cooldown addons like OmniCC are not interfering.
    • You can disable the swipe animation in omnicc to fix the problem

I have the same problem as you. The only workaround I found was using the "always hide" option.

    ElvUI has the same issue.

  • #5289

could you please add sone screebshots for understanding what is it?

  • #5290

I think I have the same problem as Cruciarius81. On patch day, I just ticked 'load outdated addons' and bartender then loaded normally.

I've now updated all addons to their latest versions (including bartender4) and I have no bars showing at all. When opening the Bartender settings, I also have no bars showing under the 'Bars' category (as you can see on the screenshot - underneath the addon window is normally where I have my action bars).

    No bars

  • #5288

I'm still not seeing my bars. They aren't faded/transparent. They just aren't showing up. Yes I have the latest update.

  • #5291

I'ts probably pagination. Make sure you check that tab out. its been fairly buggy for me since 6.0.2.

  • #5292

Not sure where/what pagination is. I've tried looking through the preferences of Bartender, but even the enable/disable check box seems to do nothing, other than give me an error popup.

Hi there, long time user of your addon here!

Love and appreciate all the work you do so I am sorry to bring this bug to light for you!

The scenario: I have setup my "Ox" stance to be bar 1, my "Serpent" to be bar 1 and my "Crane" to be bar 9. This all works fine. The two bar 1 settings dont conflict because the bars change when I change spec ofcourse.

The problem: However, I can change specs as many times as I like, once I have this set up, and it works perfect. But if I /reload or enter a loading screen, the pagination on Mistweaver no longer works. "Crane" and "Serpent" just use the same bar and I have to go back into the options (which still says "Crane" should use bar 9) click the dropdown, select bar 9 and then it resumes paging properly.

This is a new stance for mistweavers so maybe there is some problem here with that, care to advise?

TL;DR: Pagination for the new stance "Stance of the Spirited Crane" works but doesn't save between loadstates.

  • #5284

Somehow the stance ar on my hunter doesn't show up since last Patch. In the config the stance bar is grayed out. Any hints or bideas ?

  • #5286

Hunters don't have stances now. Check your spell book.

  • #5294

    great... Thanks  :  )

  • #5282

Just started back to WoW again the other day with the dropping of Patch 6.0.2. Upon logging in I noticed that the micro menu seemed a little off from where I left it months ago. I originally thought it was due to my monitor changing. I did a little more research and I realized that there is a button missing on it. The computer on the bottom of the bar is gone. I looked in the configuration for Bartender and noticed that the max amount of rows could only be 12. It used to be 13 (either that or Blizzard added a new button while I was away from game). Either way it is something that might want to be looked into having fixed when time permits. For me its not something majorly big but I know other might find it very inconvient not having all the buttons there :) Just thought I would let you know. Thanks for a great addon :D

  • #5279

I had gotten bartender4 maybe 2 months ago and with the new update to 6.0 needed to redownload it. Is there a way to transfer my settings?

  • #5281

Your settings should transfer automatically. They're saved in the World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\SavedVariables\Bartender4.lua file. As long as you don't mess with that, you should be fine.

  • #5273

I have now got Bartender working on new update. But every time Curse notifies me  I download Bartender update with "nolib" in title it stops working. Any ideas
