Comments
I noticed that as well but if you look closely, it should say 1/3 (or however many out of 3 that you have), even if it says none in red text. Kind of confusing.
Please read comment #66 for a fix
what you are seeing there is a not working script :)
frist the green "Collection 1/3" or so is blizzard feature.
the "In journal: None" come from this script but version 1.3.0 was broken with
patch 5.1 and the original author has not updated the version till now.
I am not blaming him/her, btw.
i provided a fix for the latest version of WoW, and since its working for me
and nobody complaint about its not working i assume its good to use, just scroll
a bit down to see my post.
greetings
Keep getting this error whne fighting a tamer....
Date: 2012-12-14 16:47:33

Error occured in: Global

Locals:
hmm i could not recreate this error, fighting tamers works without an error popping up,
but i tested it only on npc-tamers and not on pc-tamers.
second the lines involved in the error-message are only used, when the slash-command is used,
that suggest me that you are either running a different version, or i overlooked something.
any case try first to reset the savedvariables:
close wow
go into the wow-folder
open wtf folder
open account folder
open the folder named after your account
open the savedvariables folder
delete the two files beginning with "BattlePetQualityNotifier"
there should be two or at least one
restart wow and test if the error persist
on second review of the error code, i happen to realise, that you might using
either a very old version of this script or a complete different script.
Because the error log keeps referring to a "BattlePetQuality\BattlePetQuality.lua"-file
but the current script is using "BattlePetQualityNotifier\BattlePetQualityNotifier.lua".
so i suggest if the error persist try updating the script, you can use the version i
provided just below your post. but delete the old version first.
greetings
Hey Guys.
I think this script is just awesome, its fast and light, it does what it should do,
and it is not overloaded with unnecessary features or UI-elements.
Sadly it stopped working with the last patch, so i took a look at the code, and i want to share
with you my hot-fix.
Changes:
-> fixed the problem with the missing "isFavorite"
in my tests it worked instantaneous, but another suggestion was to favor at least one pet
to get it working
-> almost fixed the missing minimap-tooltip feature
the tooltip in the minimap now provides you with a list if you already have a pet of this
species, but since i didn't found a way to determine if the thing on the minimap is
a mining node,
a battle pet or some freaking npc, because its just some string, I disabled the
"In Library: None"-statement from the minimap-tooltip.
Since this statement otherwise would be printed on nearly every thing else,
so if you have some pet on the minimap and nothing is written below it you don't have one
of these.
Now this fix is for manual installation, and i don't intend to create some curse friendly download, i am also not the original author, and if the author updates his version i will put my upload down,
so don't bother asking
I also don't intend to do support-work like adding features, or such, since i am not the author of this script don't bother asking.
What i will do, is if in the future this fix stops working and the author of this script didn't provide some update i might come back and fix it again.
Also if this fix is not working, and it creates some LUA-errors please give some feedback with some useful information's.
"This crap does not work!" <- This is no feedback with useful informations!

Greetings Medevel
Hmm for me this changing lines don;t work. But when i make only one pet to favorite addon start working so maybe this is option for someone :)
This seems to be the catch for the isFavorite edit to the LUA file fix. Once you set at least one pet to favoirte, the mod works correctly again..
I miss this add-on plz update it for 5.1
Hello
For me not working change line 52 but many ppl confirm it`s working so i don`t know what i wrong.
I get version from Alacialuun with changed line 52 but not working for me this version too...
For ppl who got a problem just download: here
Mayby this version with changed line 52 working for You.
Thanks
It is not working with the new patch (:
Look at #66
Since the latest patch this addon says that every battle pet i run across is (Not Owned). Any advice?
Still seems to work for me. Perhaps remove the one you have completlely and re-download, then re-install. This will remove any old files that might be messing up your mod.
Having the same problem as Sargon. I've deleted the addon and reinstalled and didn't change anything.
