    Hey Guys.
I think this script is just awesome, its fast and light, it does what it should do,
and it is not overloaded with unnecessary features or UI-elements.
Sadly it stopped working with the last patch, so i took a look at the code, and i want to share
    with you my hot-fix.
    Changes:
-> fixed the problem with the missing "isFavorite"
in my tests it worked instantaneous, but another suggestion was to favor at least one pet
        to get it working
-> almost fixed the missing minimap-tooltip feature
the tooltip in the minimap now provides you with a list if you already have a pet of this
species, but since i didn't found a way to determine if the thing on the minimap is
        a mining node,
a battle pet or some freaking npc, because its just some string, I disabled the
"In Library: None"-statement from the minimap-tooltip.
Since this statement otherwise would be printed on nearly every thing else,
so if you have some pet on the minimap and nothing is written below it you don't have one
        of these.

Now this fix is for manual installation, and i don't intend to create some curse friendly download, i am also not the original author, and if the author updates his version i will put my upload down,
    so don't bother asking
I also don't intend to do support-work like adding features, or such, since i am not the author of this script don't bother asking.
What i will do, is if in the future this fix stops working and the author of this script didn't provide some update i might come back and fix it again.
Also if this fix is not working, and it creates some LUA-errors please give some feedback with some useful information's.
"This crap does not work!" <- This is no feedback with useful informations!

Downloads, both are the same file, just uploaded to different hosts, both are free and no registration needed so pick your favourite:

Hmm for me this changing lines don;t work. But when i make only one pet to favorite addon start working so maybe this is option for someone :)

  • #87

This seems to be the catch for the isFavorite edit to the LUA file fix.  Once you set at least one pet to favoirte, the mod works correctly again..

I miss this add-on plz update it for 5.1

It is not working with the new patch (:

  • #78

    Look at #66

  • #68

Since the latest patch this addon says that every battle pet i run across is (Not Owned). Any advice?

  • #69

Still seems to work for me.  Perhaps remove the one you have completlely and re-download, then re-install.  This will remove any old files that might be messing up your mod.

  • #73

Having the same problem as Sargon. I've deleted the addon and reinstalled and didn't change anything.

  • #66

I've looked through the files and found that the problem is actually in the BattlePetQualityNotifier.lua file on line 52.  The order of variables on that line that are returned by C_PetJournal.GetPetInfoByPetID are off now because 'isFavorite' was added.  Simply putting 'isFavorite' between 'name' and 'displayID' fixes the mod.

The same fix needs to be applied in LibPetJournal-2.0. Only after I made the change in both places did the tooltip have the right information.

  • #81

I"ve made this suggested change as indicated but the mod still reports all wild pets incorrectly as <Not Owned>.  It would be very useful to get an official update that addresses this matter.

  • #83

The bug I'm noticing is the text message displayed immediately upon entering the pet battle. It will always report the listed pets as (Not Owned) even if they are in your collection.

I've been trying to figure out what would be causing this as I'm not seeing this paticular bug as this fix resolves the issue of "none" showing up when you mouse over a wild pet.  I have disabled every addon and tested it and did not see this bug while someone else with the bug did the same and still had the bug.  So it appears to be some where between the game client settings and this addon.
