About Baud Bag

QUICK NOTE

As I'm currently swamped with my thesis the WoD compatible update only fixes show-stopper bugs! I'll get the reagent bank up as fast as I can, but don't expect the update to land tomorrow ;) Thanks for understanding!

Summary

Allows you to combine your bags into a single, larger one, yet gives you the power to choose which bags to combine. Complete with a user-friendly graphical menu for changing how your bags will display. Use /baudbag, /bb, the menu button on any of BaudBag's containers or the addon options interface of WoW, to change the settings for this addon.

Feature List

  • Customizable bag joining.
  • Various background choices, including 3 of Blizzard's bag skins.
  • Bank contents viewable at any time.
  • Bag slot coloring for item rarity (Uncommon, Rare, Epic).
  • Tracking of up to 5 Tokens in the first bag container
  • Bags are scalable and column count can be adjusted.
  • Free slot count.
  • Easy to use options menu.
I search for some international users of BaudBag who could help me validate and complete the translations of the current localizations in all languages except English and German!

Notes

For any bugs or suggestions please use the ticket tracker at: CurseForge (please do not post bugs or suggenstions in the comments!). Thanks to Baudzilla and Suddendeath2000 for creating and maintaining this addon for so long!

    Hmm, for me it was http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mrobinson833/world_of_warcraft/downloads/add_ons/BaudBag-v1.4.5.zip
    dunno what's with Mrobinson's page, but its a total mess. Mrobinson, did u write it for lynx? Or for some distant future version of IE?? Thank u for update, but i wish u to contact original author and post ur version here.

    I spoke too soon. It does work once I Disable/Re-Enable The Baud bag bank but when you log off and come back in you have to do it again (Disable/Re-enable baud bank). Is that how its suppose to work? It is much liek what orbolosh is saying
  • #449
    I'm not having the issue, at least not after I re-downloaded it and started from scratch and made the edit suggested earlier in this thread.

    I do suggest getting rid of Baud Bag out of your interface/addons and out of all of your WTF subdirectories, fresh installing and then redoing things from scratch, because it does work once you make the small change...

    Argh! that's annoying. I don't want to have to enable/disable/enable the bank EVERY single time. that becomes tedious! Did I mention annoying? How does one eliminate the original bank from opening at all when opening baudbank? I like the everything is visible look. i don't like blizzards seperate bags. they are tedious at best. Please advise?

    Thanks

    OK. it worked, except how do I shut down the Blizzard bank window without closing Baud's?

  • #444
    I have tried the fix suggested, but not being a programmer, I am a little confused by orbolosh's reply to KanadiaN regarding subtle changes that needed to be made to KanadiaN's coding so that it would work perfectly.

    I am waiting for WoW to come back online so that I'll be able to test it. If I cannot get it to work, is there any idea where/when a working copy will be posted so I can fix my problem?

    I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into these addons as my life is too busy to really make these changes.
  • #442
    Thanks for the fix guys. Added thoese extra few lines like KanadiaN said and it works fine now.
  • #443
    thanks but all the credit goes to the mod author, if it was not for him making it I would not have even had to help fix this great mod... long live baud bag
  • #440
    Please update for patch 3.1 :)
  • #441
    Yes, please do!
  • #435
    In case you don't want to be able to toggle between original bank and baudbag while playing (by switching "enable" for the bank), you can just add the following line in baudbag.lau:

    BankFrame:UnregisterEvent("BANKFRAME_OPENED");

    Place it anywhere, e.g. below the comments (where you can find a hint on that topic ;))

    For people that need to change enabled/disabled baudbag for the bank (who needs that?), one would need to register/unregister while enable/disable-checkbutton is pressed.
  • #437
    ooh looks like you've beaten me too it :P

    yes that's exactly what i have done, and it seems to be working perfect now. For anyone who doesn't want to spend time editing their .lua file you can download a copy with this fix from my server

    here is a fix that will have it work the way it was intended to with the enable/disable checkbox in the options the function is found around line 1742

    function BaudBagEnabledCheck_OnClick(self)
    if(self:GetChecked())then
    PlaySound("igMainMenuOptionCheckBoxOff");
    else
    PlaySound("igMainMenuOptionCheckBoxOn");
    BaudBagCloseBagSet(SelectedBags);
    end
    Config[SelectedBags].Enabled = (self:GetChecked()==1);
    if Config and (Config[2].Enabled == true) then BankFrame:UnregisterEvent("BANKFRAME_OPENED") end
    if Config and (Config[2].Enabled == false) then BankFrame:RegisterEvent("BANKFRAME_OPENED") end
    end
  • #439
    perfect :-)

    let's make a community-release ;-)

    But first another edit: in player_login at the end of the function, there has to be

    if Config and (Config[2].Enabled == true) then
    BankFrame:UnregisterEvent("BANKFRAME_OPENED");
    end

    Of course the Unregister, that I suggested to place in first place has to be removed. Also we can remove these lines:

    --self is hooked to be able to replace the original bank box with this one
    local pre_BankFrame_OnEvent = BankFrame_OnEvent;
    BankFrame_OnEvent = function(self, event, ...)
    if Config and(Config[2].Enabled == false)then
    return pre_BankFrame_OnEvent(self, event, ...);
    end
    end

    Hm. Where's the author?

    Sweet thanks orbolosh

    That worked for me

    Cheers
