About BigBrother

Checks Raid Buffs, Flasks, Auras and Consumables, and displays them in a compact format.

Provides tunable raid alerts to chat about taunts, threat misdirects, cc breakage, rezzes, dispells, and cast interrupts.

Fully Compatible with Cataclysm v4.3

    The latest release (3.6.5) with libs has caused a few issues with other addons - specifically PerformanceFu and OutfitterFu.  Installing the nolib version seems to fix the problems, but then BigBrother doesn't work.

    BigBrother is shipping embedded with a custom version of Ace2 that has been patched to work under 4.3. I'd highly discourage disembedding since the "stock" Ace2 library is pretty broken under 4.3

    I would recommend complaining to the managers of Ace2 who have chosen to freeze the library at a version which is very broken under 4.3, rather than allowing devs to contribute maintenance updates to keep it working for the large base of addons that still use Ace2. The only reason BigBrother uses the luckyjack branched version of Ace2 is because we've been prohibited from fixing the Ace2 trunk.

    Alternatively, you could encourage the authors of PerformanceFu and OutfitterFu to upgrade to a supported version of Ace - either Ace3 or the the luckyjack version of Ace2.

    So what would you recommend for those of us using PerformanceFu and OutfitterFu?  Are we SOL?  For now I've just kept my older version of BigBrother, and everything seems to work fine.

    for some reason this addon doesn't seem to like Minimap Button Bag, it keeps disappering before i click anything on the button >.> Therefore, i can't post who's missing what buffs

    Any chance of making the "announces missing flasks, elixirs, foodbuffs" into a full fledged "announces every buff missing"?

    BigBrother focuses on displaying buffs currently on the raid, and doesn't analyze raid composition and specs to automate determination of what buffs might be missing. If you're looking for that functionality I would recommend RaidBuffStatus - I use both addons together and they complement each other nicely.

    RaidChecklist is the one I've been using, but now I'm going to try Raidbuffstatus since oscarucb is involved ;)

    Great addon - a must-have for effective party/raid leading.

    The CC break reporting is more accurate and reliable than any other addon I've tried, and the taunt/interrupt/misdirect reporting is great for group management.

    Can we have Roar of Courage (Battle Shout equivalent from hunter pets, spell id 93435) and Dalaran Brilliance (Arcane Brilliance equivalent, spell id 61316) added to defaults please?

    Dalaran Brilliance is already in there on the buff screen (just hidden from the tooltip since its exactly the same buff as Arcane Brilliance).
    I will add Roar of Courage, but that is only auto-cast in combat, so it won't appear in pre-combat checks unless the hunter forces his pet to cast it.

    Great addon. I was wondering if there were any plans to make this announce only while in a raid group? Our guild uses the custom raid channel feature and when I am out questing I always start reporting on things and people get spammed. Is there any way to make this report only while in a raid group?

    Hmm - well if you announce to "Raid" channel it will only announce while you're in a raid, but if you prefer the output to a custom channel then it won't automatically do what you want - although you can toggle the custom channel reporting option or simply leave the custom channel to get the effect you want.

    Another option is to only load the addon during raids - if you use AddonLoader (highly recommended) you can do this automatically by setting X-LoadOn-Raid:true for Big Brother.

    Hi, thx for the addon.. can you change the raidtarget-icons change from {cross} to {rt7} and the other rt's?
    {cross} not displayed on german server .. {rt1-8} will be show everything on any server.
