About Bitten's SpellFlash: Druid

This module flashes suggested spells for all four Druid specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Please see the FAQ before posting a question. If that doesn't address your issue, or you have a suggestion to improve this addon, please either leave a comment or create a ticket.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

Minor updates to rotations, lua bug fixes

This updates the bear rotation to no longer crash when pulverize is
selected as a talent, and also to avoid flashing it without three stacks
of lacerate.

It also updates the Boomkin rotation to be a little smarter about what
it puts dots on -- anything that has the same or less maximum health
than the player is probably not worth the effort, because it will die
before they play out their benefits.

Added sunfire to pre-combat flashing

Avoid flashing Sunfire constantly when Moonfire is not applied

When target switching, if you are in the solar phase (eg: sunfire
available), and moonfire was not already present on the target, we would
constantly flash sunfire -- because the API treats the two spells
identically, so special support is needed to filter out conditions where
they shouldn't flash.

This updates the code to avoid moonfire when it is not castable.

Haha.  That's here.  If you want to simply your addon installations in the future I highly recommend the Curse Client.

it does not work, even though i have the library and the druid spellflash.

Click the link I put in my last comment where it says "here".  That leads to the main SpellFlash addon that you must install.

when i installed the addon when i see if it is on it says i need to download the library, how do i do that?

  • #90

Search for "Bitten's SpellFlash Library", then install it the same way you did this module.

This a big help. I wasn't always making the best move before Spellflash. I don't understand what some of the colors on the flashing buttons mean. Is there a user's guide or help somewhere I've missed?

  • #88

There are 3 colors, white, yellow and green (for feral).  White means it's part of the core rotation and you should push it.  Yellow is used for almost everything else, either because it's optional (such as Starfall in case there are mobs nearby that you don't want to pull) or because it is not on the gcd.  Small green flashes mean that spell is planned to be used next, but that you should NOT press it yet - instead you should wait for a proc (feral) or until you've taken enough damage to make it worthwhile (guardian).

Love the addon - would it be possible to have Healing Touch light up everytime Predatory Swiftness procs? Or at least have an option to do so? Because on a PVE standpoint you rarely use roots, cyclone, rebirth etc while doing dailys, but could almost always use an extra heal.

  • #85

When you have a full GCD available, it should be flashing (with this priority):

    1. Faerie Fire if it will be falling off w/in 10 seconds
    2. Force of Nature
    3. Healing Touch if you have Predatory Swiftness

    Is that working for you?

  • #86

It really only flashes healing touch if my health is low (not sure what percentage exactly) and seems to be sort of random whether Force of Nature flashes. Faerie fire is working correctly though.

Occasionally it recommends healing touch too, but not all of the time. It would be great if it could flash healing touch everytime Predatory swiftness procs

I just released a Guardian rotation.  I would love feedback from anyone who tries it.

Saw the update and got super excited! Still no Guardian :((. But still thanks for all you do with these addons. Have a happy holiday season!

Description says Celestial Alignment: If Incarnation is up, or under an Eclipse if you don't have Incarnation.  Will flash yellow and continue to the next priority in case you are saving the cooldown.

To me "under" implies during.  CA should almost always be cast "after" Eclipse, since the main CA benefit is more Eclpse uptime.

Also, is the tool predictive about Balance energy?  If I'm at 80 energy, headed for Solar and currently casting Starfire, will the highlighted ability assume that my next cast will be in Solar Ecipse?
