About Bitten's SpellFlash: Druid

This module flashes suggested spells for all four Druid specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

Version 50400.2.4

  • Feral: Moved the beta rotation into production. The old rotation is gone.
  • Feral: There is an option to toggle swapping to bear form during down time.

  • Feral: Trying out shifting to Bear when there is time to spare.
  • Feral: Slight adjustment of Rip & Mangle damage calcs.
  • Feral: Hopefully a fix for a rare-ish Lua error.

  • Feral: Making the beta rotation available as on option in a general release, so more people are exposed to it for testing.
  • Feral: Beta - now considers the Nature's Vigil buff when calculating the damage of bleeds.
  • Feral: Beta - updated support for Nature's Vigil and Incarnation.
  • Feral: Beta - only suggests Healing Touch as a self heal when you would otherwise be pooling energy anyway.
  • Feral: Beta - adjusted the CP generators when the enemy is nearing death.

  • Feral: Bugfix - one of the Rip priorities was being quirky.
  • Feral: Bugfix - the Rake with Re-Origination priority was broken.

Version 50400.2.0beta

  • Feral: Entirely new single target rotation. It is not yet perfected, but seems to be a noticable improvement.
  • Feral: The beta rotation considers whether overwriting a bleed may increase its damage.
  • Feral: The beta rotation might play nice with Rune of Re-Origination ... untested.
  • Feral: The beta rotation might play nice with tier 15 & 16 set bonuses ... untested.
  • Feral: There is an option to revert to the old one, so feel free to update, test, and give feedback!

  • Guardian: Uses Healing Touch as a "mitigation" cooldown when Dream of Cenarius is up.
  • Guardian: Savage Defense and Frenzied Regeneration are now flashed to overlap freely, since rage generation supports it easily.

  • Guardian: Do not flash Rejuvenation in damage mode.

  • Balance: Smoothed out some quirkiness in the flashing.
  • Balance: Better tracking of DoT tick times.
  • Balance: Don't refresh DoTs early when their Eclipse is not up (should be a dps gain).
  • Guardian: Don't flash Thrash at its higher priority for Weakened Blows when in damage mode.

Version 3.2.3

  • Guardian: Damage mode is now linked with the hidden option to toggle it in groups (see the website for more info).
  • Guardian: Berserk and Incarnation are now top priority cooldowns in damage mode.
  • Guardian: Might of Ursoc is now only used for its heal; other cooldowns may now flash while it is up.
  • Guardian: Frenzied Regeneration no longer flashes when its buff is already up (from the glyph).

Version 3.2.2

  • Feral: Improved the condition to switch back to Cat Form when Rip is expiring.
  • Restoration: Healing Touch and Regrowth now flash small when neither Harmony nor Clearcasting are up.

Version 3.2.1

  • Restoration: Added flashing for Wild Mushroom.
  • All except Guardian: Added flashing for Soothe.
  • All except Restoration: Forms now flash before entering combat, when you have an enemy targeted.
  • All: Added flashing for food buffs.

    I play Guardian and Balance. I only use this Talent in Guardian Spec so dont know about what happens in Balance but in Guardian the Flashings, stop...u know...flashing after using the 90 Talent ^^

    when i installed the addon when i see if it is on it says i need to download the library, how do i do that?

    This a big help. I wasn't always making the best move before Spellflash. I don't understand what some of the colors on the flashing buttons mean. Is there a user's guide or help somewhere I've missed?

    There are 3 colors, white, yellow and green (for feral).  White means it's part of the core rotation and you should push it.  Yellow is used for almost everything else, either because it's optional (such as Starfall in case there are mobs nearby that you don't want to pull) or because it is not on the gcd.  Small green flashes mean that spell is planned to be used next, but that you should NOT press it yet - instead you should wait for a proc (feral) or until you've taken enough damage to make it worthwhile (guardian).

    Love the addon - would it be possible to have Healing Touch light up everytime Predatory Swiftness procs? Or at least have an option to do so? Because on a PVE standpoint you rarely use roots, cyclone, rebirth etc while doing dailys, but could almost always use an extra heal.

    When you have a full GCD available, it should be flashing (with this priority):

    1. Faerie Fire if it will be falling off w/in 10 seconds
    2. Force of Nature
    3. Healing Touch if you have Predatory Swiftness

    Is that working for you?

    It really only flashes healing touch if my health is low (not sure what percentage exactly) and seems to be sort of random whether Force of Nature flashes. Faerie fire is working correctly though.

     

    Occasionally it recommends healing touch too, but not all of the time. It would be great if it could flash healing touch everytime Predatory swiftness procs
