About Bitten's SpellFlash: Hunter

This module flashes suggested spells for all three Hunter specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

All the rotations implement automatic AoE switching though the detection can sometimes be a touch off.

Updates for MM and BM hunter rotations

This includes a bundle of updates to the BM and MM hunter rotations.

They are now in sync with current theorycrafting.

It significantly improves prediction of focus, and about spell
availability when delayed due to lack of focus, leading to a smoother
and cleaner set of flashing.

Better focus management for BM Arcane Shot

Now, instead of just keeping a static pool of 64 focus at all times we
are willing to actually spend down further, based on being able to
regenerate enough focus naturally that we can hit the next important
ability when it is off cooldown.

This generally provides slightly smarter focus management, without
either starving or pooling unnecessarily.

    Great addon but since update today this is hosed. It constantly wants me to shoot arcane. It also doesn't realize when there's no focus left and it never asks for the cobra shot now.

    Focusing/cobra shot not flashing anymore

    Was fine before the update. When I was out of focus my focusing shot would start highlighting, not anymore, now I have to keep track of my focuse all the time... not cool, please fix it :(

    Not enough focus

    Before the update, The flash happens only if I have enough focus to use. Because of this, I got used to not checking my focus. With the new update, it flashes even though I do not have enough focus. Now I have to be not lazy anymore which is the whole reason I got this addon. Checking my focus is not that a big deal but if you can bring back that little change, it would be a big help. Thank you.

    Stiil happening, every time I loot my kill shot lights up.    Not just on my hunter.

    Last update broke rotation; Focussing shot doesn't light up, until you deselect the target.

    Still doesnt switch between Multi-Shot and Arcane shot properly yet you took away the option to swtich to AoE manually. Plz give it back.

    I've been testing the addon for a while with Survival, and on multiple occassions I encountered a situation where my Black Arrow was just about to come off cooldown, and I didn't have nearly enough focus to cast it, which results in lower BA uptime, which in turn results dps loss, obviously. It is to be noted that I was following the addon's recommendations. Could the recommendations be changed so that you'd always end up with (atleast) the required 35 focus towards the end of BA's cooldown?

    EDIT: In addition to this, when I don't have the sufficient focus to cast BA, the addon won't suggest me to use a focus regeneration ability, and I may end up not casting BA for a loooong time if following the recommendations.

    i also asked this question in January and haven't had a response i guess the person is just busy which is fair enough but im thinking about stopping using this add-on for now

    This should work for any language.  If it doesn't flash something in your native language, please report that as a bug and I will make sure it is fixed.

    For some reason this is the only class spell flash that won't install. I get an install failed every time I try to install it.

    Edit - Nevermind it was an issue on my disk, ran checkdisk and reinstalled fine!

    hi there i have been using this addon for a few years now and i am always very happy with the results i get from them all, my little grip at the moment seems to be that i never have enough focus for when BA coolsdown now i do follow the flashes and i dont deviate from it! I use ToTH and use barrage at the moment but i believe GT works better for the addon in my opion and again it is just my opion which doesnt really count for much tbh, any advice would be much appriciated

    Which addon is responsible for switching form AoE mode to normal mode? I want to turn in back into manual since automatic doesnt work at all.

    The transition through single target, cleave, and multi-target is handled automatically by the addon.  There is no way to remove *only* the changes based on number of targets.

    What would be useful is if you could describe the actual problems you are having, since my own experience is that it does a fine job scaling into multiple targets, etc, once you hit a multi-target spell.

    That said, it could always be better, and I am happy to do that, if you let me know how you see it improving...

    cAoe variable is always false, even if i fight multiple enemies. c.EstimatedHarmTargets is always 1 unless i manually change the target or manually attack with aoe spell. I prefered it when i could change it with hotkey.
