About Bitten's SpellFlash: Pally

This module flashes suggested spells for all three Paladin specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Please see the FAQ before posting a question. If that doesn't address your issue, or you have a suggestion to improve this addon, please either leave a comment or create a ticket.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

Just realised it doesnt tell you to use sacred shield when in retrubution spec, Also is there a way to make arcane torrent flash when someones casting a dispellable spell? thankyou, other than this this addon is amazing Smile

It does not flash Sacred Shield or any other defensive ability when in Ret, that's true.  No self-heals, either.  It only flashes things that help your dps (plus an interrupt).  I'm not sure I want to add defensive/healing abilities, either, since it could be annoying for anyone who only has them on their bars for special occasions.

As for flashing Arcane Torrent - you might want to check out BigRedBrent's SpellFlash: Racials.  I haven't actually used it, but it sounds like the kind of thing it should do.

Prot Pally is not flashing for me.  When I am in the interface menu, the Selected Class Menu won't drop down and does not recognize my Pally.  Checking Use All Class Module doesn't do anyting either.  I try to click Configure Class Module, but nothing happens.  When I play my DK Tank, it recognizes the DK Tank and works beautifully.  Also noticed it isn't flashing for my Hunter.

Sounds like it's not installed correctly.  From your character selection screen, if you click the "AddOns" button, does it list the Pally or Hunter modules?

Thank you for the timely response.  I discovered that having two accts on the same computer some how created 2 different directories that they loaded to.  Having fixed it and transfered to the directory that WOW looks at, works like a charm.  My first acct went to the Games directory and I played Hunter and DK on it, then when I went to Dual Box and setup a 2nd acct, they switched directories to the x86 diretory.  I thought I had those 2 installed but found out that it just wasn't so.  All modules now work.  Thanks once again for your assistance.

How would I go about getting them in the actual program?

The first thing I would try is the Curse Client.  I'm guessing it has fancy ways to figure out which directory it should use?  Plus, once you get it set up, you'll wonder why you ever installed addons any other way.  Otherwise - I don't know.  The default path is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons.  If that's not correct, I guess just search around your computer looking for another place they could be.  If you find a directory named BittensSpellFlash_DK, there's a good chance you found it.

No, I'm just seeing DK, Shaman, XHunter and FlashCore.  But in  Computer/Program Files (x86)/WOW/Interface/AddOns... I see them all.

How would I go about getting them in the actual program?

That sounds like the problem I fixed with the last version.  How recently have you updated?
