About Bitten's SpellFlash: Rogue

This module flashes suggested spells for all three Rogue specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

  • Combat: Removed Rupture (this spell has been removed for this specialization)
  • Subtlety: Update Slice and Dice (If a DoT spell is recast with 30% or less time remaining on the original timer, the remaining time will be added to the new duration of that cast.)

    Update released. Give your thanks to the friendly Eshria, who did the vast mojority of the update.

    There was certainly some confusion, I had thought another was taking over completely, as I was simply too busy to do anything!

    The update is very basic, and I haven't even gotten a chance to play more than a few hours (sad me!), so keep posting about functionality you would like to see.

    I apoligize if updates don't come fast enough, but I can't heal the wounded, or travel the speed of light, unfortunately. Thanks for hanging in there.

    I'd like to add a small precision.
    When I did this update, it wasn't possible to reach the level 100, so it wasn't useful to add the last talents inside the rotation system.

    my poisons button won't stop flashing because Deadly Poison is Instant Poison after level 94 or 95... would appreciate any help... thanks

    Just added instant poison. I haven't tested it yet though, as I've just been able to begin leveling my rogue.

    It still flashes. :/

    I have gone in and editted the Spells.lua (found in the src folder), adding a line in the section at lines 81-84

    CheckFirst = function()
    return c.SelfBuffNeeded("Deadly Poison")
    and c.SelfBuffNeeded("Wound Poison")
    end

    to

    CheckFirst = function()
    return c.SelfBuffNeeded("Deadly Poison")
    and c.SelfBuffNeeded("Instant Poison")

    Eshria, it appears JCobCurse got to it first. His name is now up there as a developer. Apparently hes been working on his since october but its still not ready.  /boggle I tried looking for youres on curseforge, but was unable to find it :( I appreciate that JCobCurse is picking this up, but if you cant get it working by now, give up and pass the torch to someone that can, or team up with them at least.
