About Bitten's SpellFlash: Rogue

This module flashes suggested spells for all three Rogue specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Please see the FAQ before posting a question. If that doesn't address your issue, or you have a suggestion to improve this addon, please either leave a comment or create a ticket.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

  • Combat: Sinister Strike will no longer flash outside of melee range. This release is mostly about the update to the library.

  • Assassination: No longer pause at 4 combo points to "refresh" Rupture if it is not up.
  • Combat: Never suggests a finisher when Revealing Strike is down.
  • Combat: Never tries to pool energy when solo.

  • Combat & Subtlety: Don't flash Slice and Dice w/ less than 5 combo points when solo and you have Glyph of Deadly Momentum.

    Yes there is!  Just go to the options for the module and un-check it.  Get to the options like this:

    Escape -> Interface -> AddOns -> Click the plus next to SpellFlash (at the bottom of the list) -> Select the Rogue Module.

    You incorporate Dismantle at all in Combat rotation? What do you think of using it?

    Dismantle is great depending on the enemy/opponent.  SpellFlash doesn't know whether it will do any good against your particular target or not, so that is left up to you to incorporate if needed/wanted.

    Heya X,

    Is there a way I can turn off Adrenaline Rush flashing at CD? I really just want to use it manually or macroed to Blade Flurry for multiple mobs. 3 minute cooldown is a waste sometimes for grinding unless mobs are really close to each other.

    There is a way!  I just added it to the FAQ:

    Though this is not officially a feature of SpellFlash, you can take advantage of a quirk to stop a particular spell from flashing if you wish.  Use a macro for that spell, and do not do one of the things mentioned in "My macro is not flashing": either do not use the question mark icon, or do not begin the macro with #showtooltip, or turn of "Flash Macros" in the options.

    However, remember that not using AR at all for just 3 minutes while grinding is even worse than wasting most of it.

    Also, I see I missed the edit in your last post - I'll go check that out now.

    Ya Adrenaline Rush can be wasted , but I would rather pop it with multiple mobs when ganged up on with Blade Flurry...

    As always-thanks for this-it has really helped a LOT of people

    BTW-on your Faq site-you have Rogue "solo mode" saying it flashes at 5 combo point which is no longer the case-you changed it a year ago to flash always with combo points after combat which is really great now!
