About Bitten's SpellFlash: Shaman

This module flashes suggested spells for all three Shaman specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

Track EF and UF boosts to Flame Shock

By tracking that we are able to ensure that we don't flash to overwrite
a stronger FS with a weaker one, and that we can recast FS if it will be
stronger than our earlier cast was.

Fix Earthquake

Previously, a Blizzard API bug -- that EQ has a range, but is never "in
range" -- was preventing it from flashing.  Even with that fixed, a bug
of my own in the name of the AoE perk stacks that make it worth casting
would have prevented it from flashing when it should.

Finally, another bug meant that Chain Lightning was mistakenly flashed
when Lava Beam sat in the priority, which was above Earthquake.  That,
too, is fixed, which means that we now flash EQ in our AoE priority list.

Theoretically we can flash it for single target work also, but that is
dependent on having enough mastery, etc, to make it worthwhile... which
just isn't going to happen in current gear.

That said, the code sits there ready to turn this on the second we do
cross that threshold and all...

Handle fire totems better

Previously, having out searing totem would block higher priority totems
such as the Fire or Storm Elemental Totems from being summoned.

Now, we will overwrite Searing Totem if a higher priority fire totem
is available.

It also handles Liquid Magma, in the sense that it will not flash to
summon any totem while Liquid Magma is up on a totem.

Fix Flame Shock early refresh vs Earth Shock priority

We would previously be close to capping ES stacks, refresh FS at 9
seconds, and end up wasting Fulmination charges.  Now we will happily
delay FS in favour of ES at high stacks, unless the debuff on our target
is about to wear off.

    It should be working.  First make sure it is turned on in the options, and if it is, see if there is a Lua error you could report.  Some basic instructions for finding a Lua error are here.

    Man, ptBR section you have to fix the line

    removing the space before the word Labaredas, here is an image:

    the translation that I sent you earlier already contained this "mistake" but was not giving problems so far.

    I know you are very busy with leveling toons and working on updates, but if it isnt too hard of a thing to do (I have no idea what doing this kind of thing entails lol) would it be possible to have wind shear flash on resto spec when i need to interrupt please? If it is too much to do at this time, I totally understand, I just didnt realize how much I depended on that on my healing spec until I didnt have it any more lol. And my OS is Enhancement, so I will try out your updates and see how it goes. Thanks so much for all the work  you put into these friggen awesome add ons!

    I'm sorry to leave you hanging for so long.  It is a reasonable request, but I'm sorry I'm not sure it will happen anytime soon.  It is a very good idea to do that for any of the specs that don't have rotations (flash interrupts, raid buffs & such), but so far when I sit down to work on SpellFlash I've been more motivated to improve existing rotations.  I'll keep it in mind, though, you never know what may appeal to me next!

    Don't take this as "I'll work on whatever I feel like so go away."  I appreciate the feedback, I want to know what people are thinking about the addons, and it really does impact my priorities.  Especially if you find a problem in an existing rotation, that is always a top priority for me.  So keep the comments coming!

    I just made a beta release that includes Ascendance and level 90 talents.  My poor Shaman is still level 85, so if you can please test my changes and leave a comment!

    To get the beta using the Curse Client, right-click the addon and set the "Preferred Release Type" to beta.  If you download your addons by hand, find the beta in the "Other Downloads" tab above.

    I absolutely love this addon, but the only thing that troubles me is that it wants me to hard cast LB.  I only want to use it at 5 stack.  Is there anyway I can modify this?

    It should not trouble you!  That is indeed part of playing an Enhancement Shaman to it's maximum dps potential.  If you insist that you'd rather sacrifice DPS because you don't like the way it feels, the only way would be for you to modify it in the code yourself.  Should you choose to do that, the relevant stuff is in Rotations.lua, where you would need to remove both "Lightning Bolt at 4" and "Lightning Bolt at 2".  Be aware that anytime you update the module you would have to re-do the change.

    Quick question for you -- I just hit level 90 on my enhancement shaman and specced into Unleashed Fury. My understanding from EJ is that Unleash Elements should be ahead of everything except keeping Searing Totem up if you spec into Unleashed Fury. However I'm not seeing a difference in what spells are flashing - Stormstrike always pops up first, UE much later. Am I missing a setting, or is this a possible bug? Thanks for any help, really appreciate your addon.

    I've only gotten level 90 stuff into one addon so far (Mage).  So go with EJ and try not to curse at me every time you lose track of the cooldown untli I get a chance to update things Undecided.

    yes and i changed nothing .. one day they were . next day they didnt and havent since .. i have two friends who are using it as well .. and they arent either anymore

    I should have internet and be able to make sure my own Shaman still works on Monday.  Until then - I have no idea.  Obviously something changed for you, but I have no way of determining what that may be.

    For the past two days ... my spells arent lighting up .. well two are . the weapon one and the fire elemental .. no others .. i uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing .. i turned the addon off and now my wow ones are lighting up .. what could be the problem .. spellflash and the library file is up to date as well
