About Bitten's SpellFlash: Warrior

This module flashes suggested spells for all three Warrior specs. You can find *lots* more information on its website.

If you download using the Curse Client it will come with everything you need. If you download your addons manually, you must also get SpellFlash.

Please see the FAQ before posting a question. If that doesn't address your issue, or you have a suggestion to improve this addon, please either leave a comment or create a ticket.

Bitten's SpellFlash modules replace Blizzard's default proc highlighting to flash the button you should press next to achieve maximum dps on a boss fight. Or if you are a tank, to maximize your survivability. For healers, they are just slightly smarter proc highlighters. Dps modules follow or are similar to priority schemes found in SimulationCraft and/or Icy Veins. Sometimes you have to be smarter than SpellFlash, e.g. when saving a cooldown for a specific boss mechanic, but in general following the recommendations will improve most people's performance.

Some modules have AoE modes. Check the descriptions of each rotation to see if one is available for the spec(s) you use.

Is there some way that I can turn the standard UI flash on while running your addon?

Please refer to the last question in the FAQ.  I'm happy to explain my position further if you're not convinced.Tongue out  Only in the last couple versions of Bitten's SpellFlash Library have I figured out how to suppress the proc highlighting again (it had been broken since MoP).

<Edit:> Proc highlighting is back on, but now it uses a plain red border instead of the normaly flashy one.

It would seem that both execute and raging blow are now flashing via your addon, but I am still not seeing blizzard's own UI flash on either ability. Is there some way that I can turn the standard UI flash on while running your addon? Those two abilities being top priority, it is nice to have the double flash on them both. Any info on the matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

My apologies. How embarrassing, what I meant to say was raging blow. I am sorry. I am checking now to see if they are both working. As I am sure the execute flash is, I will check raging blow also.

have you got the arms rotation yet??

  • #16

    From the description above:

No Arms rotation for 5.0.4 yet.  Check the FAQ for my progress as I update Bitten's SpellFlash modules for 5.0.4.

    <Edit:> And now it's done.

When will this module be updated?

  • #12

Good question.  First I have to get internet at my new apartment - which is proving to be difficult Frown.  Fury works.   Check the FAQ for my progress as I update Bitten's SpellFlash modules for 5.0.4.

<Edit:> And now Arms also works.

I'm using a number of Spell Flash addons, downloaded them via curse client, but even thou they are fully updated to the latest patch, I'm still getting errors. the error reads as follows:

(SpellFlash) Error loading: Bitten's SpellFlash: Warrior (Bitten's SpellFlash_Warrior) (INTERFACEVERSION)

This happens on several of my toons, of course associated which ever one it may be, but others are working fine.

I have already uninstalled the main units to do with the addons ' Library / Core " along with each individual error addon, but nothing has corrected it. Can you suggest anything to correct this ??

You need to "Load out-of-date addons".  More information is in the FAQ.

<Edit:> This is no longer necessary.

Giving me an error about no spell ID for 'shout'.

I forgot to email myself the screenshot and I'm no away from my WoW PC, so I can't be more specific :(

  • #5

Ah yes, thank you for bringing that up.  It says something like "no spell id found for Shout" two or three times right when you log in.  It is a harmless message that I knew about.  Just ignore it for now.  At some point I will fix it so that message does not appear.

    <Edit:> Fixed.
