About BloodyScreen

By having some more speartime during my christmas "holidays", I started to play WotLK a little bit and fixed up BloodyScreen to work with the new addon. Just in case anyone remembers it and still cares...

Maybe you know the 6th pvp movie of Hector ("Eulogy"). If you don't, this is where you can watch it: http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=8535777175666151145&q=Hector+Eulogy On about 2 mins, he fights with a druid, and every time he crits some splatters of blood appear on the screen. I've tried to embed this effect in my user interface with discord art and after several suggestions in the official World of Warcraft Forums, I designed it as a standalone mod.

The configuration window is shown if you type /bloodyscreen or /bs into your chat. There are a few modes, how the splatters can appear on your screen. -They can be shown as combo points -They can appear whenever you crit in combat. With this option activated, they will las until you're out of combat again. -They can appear when you crit, but vanish again after a certain time. -They can appear as above, but with the same timer for all splatters. That means if you don't crit for the set time, they will disappear again.

And please ignore my mistakes; I'm swiss and don't speak english very often ;-)

Oh, and if you want to revise my localisation... you'll find everything in the "Localisation.lua" file.

BloodyScreen 4.0

- The Add-On should now work with Cataclysm.

BloodyScreen 3.1 - Rewrote variable names for safer use - Revised the configuration menu - Textures are now generated dynamically, more than five textures are now possible. - Added an option to enable dynamical scaling relative to the crit's damage - Added also a measurement option for the specific damage values - Eased the use of self-made textures - Fixed frame strata - Deleted the french localisation. I'd be glad if a Francophone could update it.

BloodyScreen 3.1.1 - Added a range check option. It's located in the general settings. - This option doesn't work with Mages, Warlocks and Priests in general. - It also won't work with Shamans who haven't skilled stormstrike. - With the other classes, it's possible that it doesn't work in the very early levels (with a druid for example, it will work as soon as you have learned swipe.) - Played a little with the chat color codes, so you'll recognize notifications and errors easier.

Localisation - Added the Strings for simplified Chinese posted by xingdvd. Thanks for the translation!

BloodyScreen 3.1.2 - The blood splatters should vanish now in a smoothier way.

BloodyScreen 3.1.3 - Added support for critical dot hits.
